Stories were very sad but fascinating. It is free which is good. Gives you a bit of history about Germany.

“Sad history, interesting museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

My husband and I stumbled upon this museum. It is near Checkpoint Charlie, and features a section of the Berlin Wall as well as an outdoor history exhibit about the Nazi SS. There is also an indoor museum with more Nazi history. Admission is free to all portions. I would recommend seeing this if you are interested at all in WWII or Holocaust history. The Berlin Wall isn't really talked about anywhere in the museum, I suppose there just happens to be a section preserved there.

“A must see.. And read 'Alone in Berlin' if you can”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Wonderful memorial to the pain and loss that took place in what was once the Gestapo & SS HQ. Many memory boards inside the new designed museum which are incredibly detailed and interesting.

Any book about Berlin or WWII in Germany mentions the dreaded Prinz Albrecht Strasse. This is it.

“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Fascinating and gruesome history. And a cool oasis from the heat in Berlin. Free entry to museum which has a pictorial and poster history with focus on SS/Gestapo/ Himmler. Location is poignant next to Berlin Wall section and original home to the SS. Tells the story of other Nazis too. Mediocre men with stupendous evil and inflated self importance. Hard to be believe relatively recent history

“Quick visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

We only discovered the location on our last afternoon and could only afford a short time there, I would say to properly appreciate it would need at least half a day
