Very impressive the entire Ishtar Gate from Babylon was unearthed by a German archeological team decades ago, moved, and reconstructed inside this museum along with the brightly colored tiled bas relief walls of the very long processional walkway The Ishtar Gate, a part of the Walls of Babylon, is 45 ft high and 100 ft wide. Really breathtaking, built about 575 BC by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II. Also has the Pergamon Altar about 80% intact from 200BC, complete with dozens of friezes depicting the battles between the Gods and Giants.Don't forget to look at the Islamic artifacts also. A great experience if you love ancient History and only €10
