“Happy hour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

Visited from 27th April to the 2nd of May. Great service. Very clean room. Good shower. Very nice breakfast. Be sure to go for cocktails at the happy hour in the evening. Trip to the small jacuzzi room and sauna is recommended. It was deserted when we visited in the evening.

Wifi is free in the lobby however there is a charge in rooms. It would be nice if this could be free.

Great location. 2 min walk from Hackescher Markt S bahn station. Would recommend eating at the Weihenstephaner (1 litre steins and great german sausages), Brauhaus Lemker (another traditional german eatery) and 'The Pub' (burgers and where you can pull your own beer, but watch out for drips and throth - charged per millilitre!). Definitely go to Curry 61 for currywurst and chips near the Hackescher Hof.

Evening visit to the 'Dummy lab' circus type show at the Hackesher Hof theatre recommended.

The Ampelmann bar and outside seating nearby on the river spree looked really nice in the sunshine on the May 1st holiday.

Other things visited included, Berlin Zoo, Brandenburg gate, Reichstag building, Victory column, Potsdamer platz, Old east german watchtower near potsdamer platz (Erna-Berger-Strasse), Tiergarten, Grunewald (on bike from Fat Tires bike hire by the Zoo S bahn), Checkpoint charlie (however museum layout and exhibits a bit confusing), DDR museum, Karl Marx Allee, Stasi museum, Oberbaumbrucke, east side gallery.

Must go to Markethalle Neun on a thursday afternoon/evening near Oberbaumbrucke. Great variety of street food and booze.

Very nice hotel. nice to have a bathtub. In room Internet is too expensive. close to transportation and museums. Card key elevator a bit annoying. Very pleasant staff. Comfortable beds. close to many restaurants.

This is our first time in Berlin, our second time in an Adina Hotel and we enjoyed our stay there. It's literally a 2 minute walk from the Hackescher Markt Railway Station.
We only use Hotels for sleeping and showering in before we head off into the city so I can't comment on many of the facilities because it just wastes our valuable time to look around.
There's enough equipment to do yourself some basic cooking if you want.
There's a few free English TV channels also if you want to pass some time while you get ready, BBC WorldNews, BBC 1/London, Channel 4 and 1 or 2 others.
We had a room on the 4th floor at the front overlooking the road below but it was quiet with the windows closed. There was a small balcony with one chair which was the same at the previous Adina we stayed at. It's just a little odd that they put just one chair when there are 2 guests.
The balcony is a bit of a waste and we didn't use it as there is a tall multi-storey building a short distance away and directly across the road. Don't know whether it's offices or residential but as it's so close there's not much privacy if want to sit outside.
So if this is your thing ask for a room elsewhere....that is if any others give you more privacy?

We arrived quite late and enquired about eating to find that the restaurant was open until 10.30 so we were able to enjoy a reasonably priced meal with wine. We had a one bedroom apartment, which was huge, with modern furniture and a well equipped kitchen. the bathroom had a power shower over the bath and unusually for hotels I liked the toiletries! We had everything we needed including ,washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had complete blackout curtains. It was very quiet, but we had a room overlooking the inner courtyard garden.
The apartment was kept spotlessly clean and the cleaners even washed and put away dishes that I had left in the dishwasher to do in the evening!
All in al a lovely place to stay.
A good tip, get a Berliner welcome card 39€ for 5 days (from the airport or hotel) which gives free transport everywhere and 25 to 30% off attractions and restaurant food including dinner at the Adina.Special thanks to the very pleasant and helpful Egyptian waiter, (although all the staff were helpful and polite)
Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard, they are very quiet

The adina offers large apartment style rooms with kitchenette facilities. Our room was very quiet and you could open the windows. Everything is fresh and new. The location is brilliant next to Hackescher Market, trains, trams museum island restaurants etc.

The staff are very helpful and can point you in the direction of good restaurants.

The breakfast spread it excellent and if you aren't careful you won't feel I like eating for the rest of the day.

Overall a great stay. The only things I would criticise: 1. the connecting door between rooms means you can hear your neighbours. this is also annoying when you are jet lagged and want to stay up yet feel like you are annoying the neighbours. 2. people smoke on the inner courtyard balconies

Our apartment was amazing and just as we had seen in the photos, clean and modern with a huge comfortable bed and cute balcony to sit in the sun. It was great to have the flexibility of having your own cooking facilities and one of the main reasons we picked this hotel, along with its great reviews. However on this occasion we did not opt for cooking in the apartment as eating out seemed so cheap and hey we were on holiday!. Slightly swayed by the hangover and the ease of it all, on our first morning we had breakfast in the hotel. This was pretty expensive I think 19 euros (?) therefore we only did this once, but have to say a great variety of juices, coffee, fresh fruit, cereals, croissants, pancakes, scrambled eggs and meats etc. We used the Jacuzzi/Sauna on one occasion, plentiful towels and robes were available and the ambience and décor with its beautiful lighting was very relaxing (and only being used by one other visitor). The staff were useful and helped us to make a dinner reservation at a local restaurant. The happy hour cocktails were soon easily fitted into our daily routine and the barman took great pride in the appearance of his creations.
The hotel was close to a market selling jewellery, artwork, t-shirts etc and just around the corner was a courtyard with a variety of pubs, restaurants and a supermarket.
I would definitely recommend this hotel...and would be interested in finding out about their sister hotels as the standard was fantastic....... BUT yes I have to mention it...the lack of wifi was a big inconvenience and half the guests were sat in the lobby as standard!
