Getting sleep at this hotel was harder than getting sleep on the twelve hour flight to Germany (a row away from a baby that screamed most of the flight). My husband and I stayed here during a heat wave, and of course there was no air conditioning or even a fan, so we had to have the windows open at night. The hotel is next door to a bar that is open 24 hours a day, and there were extraordinarily loud drunk Germans out there the entire night (and morning) talking nonstop and smoking so the cigarette smell kept wafting in through the windows. They were so loud that with the windows shut and earplugs in we could still hear them quite distinctly. The room itself was a decent size, but the two twin beds pushed together were not the same height or even the same material. One was an actual mattress but the other was a cheap sleeping pad like one found at kids' outdoor camps. The place was old and shabby and two of three light bulbs were burnt out in the room. I didn't feel like it was that clean and the pillows smelled bad. The shower temperature fluctuated like crazy between cold and extremely hot. We could not sleep at all and asked during the night if they could move us to another room and were told no and that there was absolutely nothing they could do to make the situation improve. We could not go through another horrible night there but were not allowed any sort of refund, so we paid for two nights we did not stay there (and for the miserable night we did).
