Monsieur Vuong does not deserve its star rating in TripAdvisor: Food - no, decor - no, service - no, atmosphere - no. There are many better Vietnamese establishments in Berlin. The tables are small, wooden with wood box seats. The walls are scarlet and orange with some purple accent lighting. The music is eclectic: a lot of salsa, fairly loud with a strong beat. No attempt to be vietnamese or Asian except for the joss sticks burning. The utside seating is squeezed onto a busy road. Noone wanted to sit there. We waited a long time to get served: there seemed only to be one waiter who ventured out from behind the bar and he was completely overloaded. The menu is very limited (3 starters, 7 main dishes) and everything is either fried or soup. We had 2 starters and a salad between us. The wan tan from the day menu was fried, so was the prawn from the standard menu, and although the accompanying dips were spicy, the contents were indiscernible from another. The "salad" was mostly noodles and chicken, tasty, but hardly a salad, in fact fresh vegetables were lacking the whole night. For the main courses we chose the chicken and the prawns from the daily menu and the traditional vietnamese soup from the standard. The soup was bland and non-descript, forgettable. The chicken was really tasty, but it was mostly rice. The "prawns" were actually shrimps they were so small, and fried, again. A lot of noodles and no vegetable, again, and so hot with chillies that it couldn't be finished and meant the wine (which arrived only after the main courses) couldn't be tasted. A disappointing and forgettable meal.
