Everything about Uma has that five star feel to it with the exception of the food itself which, whilst not at all as bad as some other reviews would have you believe, is not up to the reassuringly expensive price charged. The wine was fine. The service excellent with the right blend of diffidence and cheeriness. The decor is quite stunning if one takes the time to take it all in. Unlike many establishments Uma has not taken the road of cramming as many tables as space allows and therefore retains an air of exclusivity. As I said though - the food needs a little work to match the ambient high standards.
