“How do you make street food excellent?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

So that you understand it: A huge Kebab in a huge pita packed with perfectly roasted juicy meat with the usual tomato based spicy sauce and the usual yoghurt based garlic sauce and chopped veggies and salad.....right. NOW Here is the the twist: you add crunchy fried veggies.... and you add feta cheese and finally you season the whole thing with lemonjuice. Roll it up my boy.... Plane and simple but hands down the best gyro you have ever tasted. Now its ready, go ahead and take a bite of heaven. Yes you will have to wait, that sucks, but also builds anticipation which is well deserved. (Tip: get double meat all you nasty meat lovers you...:-)

“Be prepared to wait in line- it's worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013 via mobile

Waited for about an hour here yesterday, but the line moves quickly and it's totally worth the wait. I had a chicken döner. First of all, the bread is fresh and looked as if it had been basted with butter and then grilled. The chicken was good, but the veggies that are a part of this Döner (hence the name of the restaurant, Gemüsse) really are the best part. Roasted peppers, potatoes, carrots, etc.- so delicious. Top it off with homemade sauces and it is sooo good. Aaaaannd really cheap with a convenient location by the Underground train. Would definitely go again!

“50 minutes queue for a kebab - OK!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

I've never, ever before waited 50 minutes - standing up - for any meal. Certainly not a kebab. Actually, people in front of me sent parts of the party off to buy pommes frites and curry dogs to eat in the queue, just to survive the waiting.
But frankly: If you have an hour to spare, by all means, buy a kebab (2,90). It is jolly good! (not sarcastic! it truly is!!!)

“2 hours in line for a kebab?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

OK so the kebabs are pretty damn good, in fact I would go as far as saying one of the best kebabs if not the best I have had! However after the 2 hour wait in the line maybe just about any kebab would have tasted great??? If you get too hungry waiting, save your spot in the line and pop next door to get a currywurst @ Curry 36, also amazingly good! It is not something I would do again but a once off, I guess it was worth the wait...maybe next time go really late because during the day there is always a line so it appears.
