“Excellent, laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2012

Excellent.

We went for the five course tasting menu with a twist. My girlfriend does not like fish which ruled out all the starters of the day but they were more than happy to offer alternatives without a second thought or hesitation. They were even attentive enough to change her amuse bouch to something not fishy it was an eel trio that night.

I went for the wines to go with the meal and had an excellent selection of mainly German wines, such and underrated producer in the UK as seem to be stuck on the mindset that the only wine out of German is Blue Nun and Black Tower!

Overall ambience is really relaxed, not stuffy at all and there is a real feeling that they run a tight ship there.

Will be visiting again during our next visit to Berlin.

“Excellent food”

We had the 5 course menu with the accompanying wines, and both were of great quality. Service was also very good. Would definitely go back.

“Deservedly 1 Michelin Star”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

We had an extremley pleasant tasting menu, the amuse bouche almost trumping the courses, the staff were charming and decor tastefully contempory. We did get quite pissed which thinned the wallet quicker

“Fantastic Gourmet Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2011

The restaurant is elegance with sobriety, the food is delicius...we have tasted the five courses menu with wine menu (really good even if the wine with the cheese is too much sweet for the strong taste of the cheese)....
The service is kind and competent!
The bill is not cheap...but if you want eat like a gourmet....

“A wonderful meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2011

A great experience from start to finish. We went for the 7 course tasting menu with matching wines, 85 & 50 euro respectively. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and excellent food. Our waitress tailored the wines to our taste.

We had eaten at hugo's the previous night at 200 per person and found it underwhelming. Stuffy staff, small measures of wine and ok food at a slow pace had us disappointed! But hartmann's was a fantastic experience and the food was excellent. Will be back and would highly recommend it
