We just returned from an 8 day stay in Wurzburg,Germany. What a beautiful place! The Regina Hotel is located right across the street from the train station and one block from the main street. It was the perfect location for us since we used the rail system to travel to Neuschwanstein Castle, Amsterdam, and Koln. And anything we could have possibly needed was just down the street. All types of stores-from drugstores, clothing,bakeries, food eateries, even a Woolworth store. We walked the entire city of Wurzburg and what a wonderful experience to see the Residenz, Fortress, Rathhous and many other places that Hitler himself had walked upon. The hotel is small but very nice with updated tile baths. We had a two room apartment with bath in between since there were 3 of us. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast (European style) was excellent. I couldn't have chosen a better place. Keep in mind this is a European style hotel so don't expect the same as in the states; however, if you want to experience the flavor of Germany, it is a great place to start.
