Based on other reviews, I stayed here. The positives. it is a great location near the heart of it all. the beergarten in the back was quaint. The breakfast was more than adequate by german standards and I have no complaints.
The building is old and you have to expect that. I found the room a little more run down than the pictures. The bed in room 4 was a foam mattress and very soft. My son and I stayed in the bed and both woke up with a sore back. (ok, I am 48 but he is 19!)
The hallway to the room has a musty smell to it. The room had a small suite area with a broken TV. There was another TV that worked in the bedroom. I was told Visa was ok when I called. When I went to pay the CC machine was broken and I had to pay cash.
I specifically stayed for the Knights dinner that was advertised on the web page. The Knights dinner was not available on a saturday night in august. Not enough people signed up. If not available then, when would it be?
They owners don't speak much english at all. Not a problem for me as I speak a good amount of German. if not, this might have been a little difficult.
