“Nice place, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

The Interiors of the Restaurant is very different from all what I have seen before, but if you (as I) like an old style restaurant full of antiquities and old plush you will immediately feel like home. Unfortunately is this the only highlight of the restaurant. The staff was unprofessional, unfriendly and disinterested, the food not very expensive but also not more than average. A very nice place that would be very interesting if the owner would employ some professional staff.

“Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

A beautiful little restaurant with good ambience, good food and very helpful staff. The restaurant is typical of the Victorian era, lovely old lamps hanging from the ceiling, old pictures and photographs on the walls, gorgeous old furniture
We had a great time and sat on a large table meant for 4 people. When a young couple arrived to eat there wasn't a table for 2 and we were asked if we minded if they shared our table with us. This they did and we all ended up having a wonderful time!
Do have dinner here you won't regret it! And if asked if you wouldn't mind sharing a table with others then do so! You never know who you'll meet and people are all so interesting. Just like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going get :o)
Enjoy!

“When in Fusen you must eat here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

We asked a local person who we trusted to tell us the best place to eat and god was she so right. The service was excellent, the ambiance perfect and the food Devine. The place was full of local people who told me that they would only eat there. You have to check it out

“Cozy atmosphere, good food and excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

This restaurant is well located and serves very good (although simple) food. But the best part is the service. We were particularly impressed by the cheer of our waitress, a very thin brunette who kindly explained in english all the menu and even gave us some german lessons.

“Excellent lunchtime soups”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Madame Pluesch is situated on the main road through Ettal. It is very quirky, with dummies around the tables, and various objects hanging from the ceiling. We all chose home made potato soup from the menu which came with bread, and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Even although it was extremely busy with lunchtime locals, the service was brisk, and was served by waitresses in turn of the century dress!
