“Best place to stay in Füssen. Owner speaks 7 languages.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

It's a perfect place to stay if you are going to Füssen, they have big apartments that can host several people. The location is perfect and close to parking facilities. I was surprised that the owner speaks perfect portuguese in addition to 6 more languages. They are very receptive and give very good tips about what to do in Füssen.

Family room was fantastic for our group of five. Three smaller rooms compromise the apartment. Two bedrooms and a small sitting room. Even though the hotel is in the pedestrian zone, pull up to the front to unload your luggage and then park in the nearby parking deck. Manager was extremely helpful with information and the discount pass to the castles. Definitely recommend for a family traveling to Fussen.

Room Tip: Try to stay away from the rooms over the street. The cafe across the street stays open until 2AM an...

This hotel was a challenge to find initally as it is in the pedestrian zone and you cannot drive up to it. We parked at the nearby parking garage P5, 7 euro for 24 hours, and had to walk our luggage from the parking garage to the hotel. This about a 1.5 block walk and it was through snow so this was not fun. There is no elevator so you can expect to haul luggage up the steps. The reception desk was not manned and I had to ring the bell to summon the receptionist who spoke great English. We really liked our Comfort apartment for a family of 4. It included a kitchen and two bedrooms with plenty of walking space. The bathroom was also modern. The room has a very modern decor and clutter free appearance. The wifi connection was strong. The hotel charges a 6 euro per person fee for breakfast. We passed on the hotel breakfast and shopped at the convenience (Netto) store across the street for breakfast food which we prepared in our kitchen for half the price. The hotel is in a great location in a pedestrian zone with lots of shopping right outside. There great restaurants nearby too. At checkout, there was no one at the desk, I had to ring the bell again and summon help. The hotel staff had to personally inspect the room to verify that we washed our dishes and put the kitchen back exactly as we found it otherwise that would be a 25 euro fee. Needless to say, we passed and were allowed to checkout. This was frustrating as this took some time to complete this process. Overall, we really liked the spacious room at a decent price and Fussen is in an absolutely beautiful area of Bavarian Germany.

Room Tip: There is a convenience store literally less than 50 yards from the hotel where you can buy cereal, m...

the rooms here are quite modern but the bath/shower design made the floor very wet.
clean and right on the main pedestrian street, easy walk from train station.
free wifi worked well.

and price seemed good,
but our booking didnt go well as we thought we had booked a double room with extra person (child) as we only wanted the room & beds for the night, and would have shared quite easily.

but management required us to upgrade to a suite style room with a sofa bed, at extra cost, And we still got charged for the extra person, So a EUR69 night turned into E118, without breakfast.

And then a maintenance issue caused the bathroom water to be turned off @ 1030, just as we were finishing. Not a good ending.

If just visiting the one castle, I would think a daytrip from Munich would be better, especially if using the Bayern travel card after 0900. This is because you need to catch a bus from Fussen to the castle area anyway, which is included in the Bayern Card. One day in the area was certainly enough for us, even in winter.

Room Tip: Make sure you book exactly what room and bedding you need / want and confirm prices.

For an awesome price, you get: located right in the altstadt, located next to food outlets, a functional and tastefully designed room n good service. The only downside is that parking is a walk away but seriously, this place is worth every penny. We were so impressed by this place, kudos to the management!

Three of us stayed in this Two bedroom apartment. It was new, extremely clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is situated in the pedestrian area of Fussen so parking was down the road a bit but not far. Free wifi in public areas is advertised but we also had free wifi in our rooms which was great. Fantastic breakfast was provided for 5.60Euros. Whilst the bedrooms and sitting we're spacious and had a fridge and a kettle with tea provided, there was nowhere to cook so I question the word apartment. Nevertheless it was great value for money and the surrounding town and general location were absolutely stunning.

Stayed here for 1 night in the comfort apartment for 4 because we were visiting the castles. On the day of check in, the young guy at the reception was friendly but his english was limited. Anyway we were not able to have an early check in and so we left our bags at the reception and went to visit the castles. A discount coupon for the castles was given to us and although I had made reservations online for the castle tickets, I was still able to use the coupon...yipeee! By the time we came back at around 5pm, I believe the owner was manning the reception. He was another friendly guy who spoke great english and our bags were already in our apartment:) As described by other reviewers, the aprtment is spacious w a bigger masterbedroom and a smaller room with another double bed. I can tell it was furnished entirely with Ikea furniture but evrything works so no complaints. There is only 1 small bathroom with good water pressure and lots of hot water. No washing machine though and you have to wash all your plates and clean up the kitchen when you check out or you have to pay extra cleaning fees. We are ok with that. There is no living room in the apartment only 2 bedrooms and a well equiped kitchen with a small dinning corner for 4. For a short stay the apartment is more than sufficient.
