Myself and my girlfriend stayed her for one night. Great value for about 85 euros. Its not a big hotel, which is nice, and is down a small cobbled stone street, a few seconds from the main street, (the main street although not very big, has every thing you need)and about a 10 minute walk from the train/bus station. It really is in a good location. I think fussen town is probably the best place to stay if you want to visit the castles neuschwabstein etc. The town is of a reasonable size, but there are other settlements near the castles but these just mainly consist of clusters of hotels, i would nt call them towns by any means.A taxi from fussen to the castles only takes about 10 minutes and cost 9 euro.

The hotel is currently being refurbished, and the room we were given was great. It was modern, medium sized, clean, and everything was new (carpet, furniture etc). The breakfast room was great. It is decorated beautifullly, and the food was good. The place also has a restaurent which we didnt use, but it seemed nice. Staff are excellent !!! i wanted to rent a car, and the guy at reception phoned several places for me to try and get me a good deal. when we we checked out, he insisted on driving us to the car rental place. He was extremely helpful and nice. I definitely recommend this place.

We used this hotel as a base to see the nearby castles, and were not disappointed. The front desk is friendly, and the restaurant in the hotel is excellent. There's free parking.

This was night 6 & 7 of our 18 day trip through Germany, Italy & Switzerland and we were pleasantly taken aback at the personal service of this hotel - our previous nights had been at anonymous Ibis type places. Great location right in the heart of the old town - with a great view of the Rathaus (town hall) with the mountains in the background. Nice size room with balcony, very quiet considering it was so central, but you don't really get rowdy holidaymakers in places like this!
Parking right behind the hotel was great but limited, we managed to get in at the right time but I imagine it would be more difficult at the height of the season.
Attentive staff very willing to give advce on what to do - aside from the normal castle expeditions. Would recommend going over to the Tegelberg bahn (cable car) you can get a return or one way ticket up or down (for the more energetic) you can also have a go at tandem parascending straight off the mountain top. back down at the bottom theres a great luge ride which does you the decency of pulling you up the hill to start your run.
Would stay here again - it has a real family run yet professional feel to the place.

I stayed here for 2 nights in the month of June. I was travelling for one month - through 16 cities - so I was on a budget. This was really a good bargain. It was 45 euros/night (for single accomodation). The room was bare minimum, but it was clean and cosy. I had a single bed, a futon, a small eating area with 2 chairs and a tv as well as a balcony (which faced the parking lot) but it was quiet and it was nice to sit outside for a change... the view beyond parking lot was pretty.

Fussen is a tiny town, so I was within walking distance to everything (including an internet cafe down the street, since the hotel does not have one.).

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the train station. There is a restaurant downstairs, which had a great menu... although I cannot speak about the food since I didn't eat here. I missed both my "breakfast with room" service since I had ridiculously early schedules (i.e. the castle tours at 8am and a subsequent early train ride on departure day). I can only say that the restaurant was packed at all hours... so I assume the food was good.

The hotel staff was particularly friendly. Mr. Wolfe, who owns the hotel, went out of his way to accomodate me when I left my electrical adapter in my previous location. He let me borrow one from the hotel (which I asked to use for the rest of my journey - then mail back to him once I returned home.) He was super kind to allow me to do this since it was impossible to find an American appliance adapter in such remote towns in Europe.

I would stay here again and would recommend this to anyone that requires clean, cheap friendly accomodations that are convenient for train or car travel.
