“Do not hesitate to stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

This hotel was booked for me as part of a package for a vaction in Austria and London. Once I saw how close the castles were to the Austrian border, we knew we'd have to drive up and spend a night in Füssen. What a treat to check into this motel and see the beautiful rooms! We had room to spread out and just relax. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent and filling. If you go away hungry, you're too picky. The staff was excellent and had us in our rooms in no time. My daughter and I were sitting in the lobby using the internet (that is the only bad thing, poor internet) and watched the 2 front desk girls check in a group of 20-30 people in 15 mins! Do youself a favor and book a room here!

Booked the room last minute for 1 night as we wanted to visit the castles as everyone does. What I didn't expect was the quality of the hotel and staff. From check in to departure it was a pleasure staying there. We enjoyed it so much we ended up staying another night. I can from the reviews see there is a difference between the old and new sections of the hotel, we had the new, the room and facilities for a small hotel are the best I have ever seen. The room is so quiet, the bathroom is 5 star, even a rain head shower and separate toilet is a big plus. The breakfast is great, a chocoholics dream. The position for town is as good as it gets, car parking is very safe and easy to access. Tobias at the reception was a real professional, nothing was too much trouble. The town of Fussen is also a beautiful friendly place and worth the time to see as well as the magical castles.

Room Tip: Ask for the new wing.

I got to this hotel on a recommendation from a tour operator we usually used in the past. This hotel was quite new. Our room was on the fourth floor with a small balcony facing a fantastic view of the mountains. The room was quite small for two person with 2 large luggage. The toilet was separated from the bath and shower. There was free wifi available in hotel lobby. There was no porter service but the elevator worked fine. The locaton was great just a few steps away from the town center.

We stayed in a hotel for two nights. The room itself was pretty small, but the beds were exellent and also the bath was quite big.
We have enyojed the breakfast very much. The choice of the food was exeptional for this standard of hotel and we enyojed it very much. Also the service at reception desk was very good and fast.Because of the rain we have decided to use the restaurant Chilli for the dinner which was located close to the reception desk. We were very satisfied with the food and the service and it was quite unusal there were no other guests there especially because it was friday evening. The wi-fi signal was not strong enough in the rooom, only at reception hall.
Alltogether we would recommend this hotel wery much.

I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The room was so luxurious and comfortable and they really took care of us here. My husband and I both got a message at the spa in the hotel and the lady who took care of us was great! It is located in a great place and so much around you to do. Only this I would say was a minus was the bathroom had glass doors and was a little inconvenient with teenagers.

Three of us (parents and a college age son) stayed here for one night during a 5 day visit to Germany. The hotel is very close to the train station (about 2 blocks) and is also very convenient to the rest of the very lovely town. Our room was large, a king sized bed plus a twin, and bathroom was fairly large but not a lot of counter space. Our stay included a buffet breakfast, which had a wide variety of choices. The breakfast alone made the extra cost worthwhile (college boys eat a lot!) but also the fact that room was clean and roomy. Hotel stored our luggage before check-in and after so we were able to see more of the city. It was snowy while we visited Fussen, which added to the ambience of the town. I would recommend staying more than one night, as there really were more things to do and see than you can fit in about 24 hours.

Room Tip: Our 3rd floor room looked out the front of the hotel. Nice little balcony. We were not bothered by s...

We stayed for 3 days in the Hotel Schlosskrone between Chrismas and New Year's Eve before we moved further to our skiing holiday resort in Austria. We made our booking direct with the hotel and they provided more competitive quotes direct than via websites etc.
We stayed with our 2 kids of 11 and 13 in the HerrenChiemsee room which was of an outstanding quality, good beds and wonderful bathroom. Bathrobes and slippers being provided.
Fussen is a wonderful little town and the hotel Schlosskrone is situated in the middle of the City Centre close to the Neuschwanstein and HochSchwangau castles which should be visited when you stay in Fussen. The breakfast was of excellent quality worthy of 5 stars: chocolate fountain, prosecco, in addition to the various breads, cereals, cheese, salmon, meat, marmalade, yoghurts, fresh fruit, etc etc there were also cakes, pastries, muffins as the hotel has also a konditorei. The wellness facilities are excellent.
There are two options to dine in the hotel itself either in the Bavarian restaurant or in the Italian restaurant Chili. Menu and food were excellent. Wine list in the Bavarian restaurant somewhat restricted. However excellent wine list in the Italian Chili restaurant. Parking facilities within the hotel available in the garage. All in all good quality for the money and worthwhile recommending!

Room Tip: New wing with more luxury rooms.
