“Nice hotel. Good value for money but not very colse to the city center.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

In general i would say it is a nice hotel. The room is spacious, with a wide desk, a wide bed, the bathroom is OK, everything was clean.
The breakfast is very good, many things to choose and good quality.
You can park outside for free. wifi is not free.
The building is nice, in a quite area, but, I would say that the corridors of the hotel need a reformation, new paint, and a new look for the room doors because they look a little bit old-fashioned. I must say that the room furniture is ok, nor very modern, but Ok, but my first impresssion of the hotel, when I saw recepcion and corredors was old-fashioned, I think a renovation of common areas can improve a lot the hotel.
The cost of 1 room for 2 people was 75 €, it is reasonable, although, the hotel is not very near the city center (around 25 min walk).
I think the good price is due the hotel is not in the city center, otherwise the hotel is pretty good.

We used this hotel just for one night treveling back to UK from Croatia by car.
I was surprised one double bedroom 90 euros per night and no air condition and no free wifi Internet. This was in August and room was hot. Car park is extra 7 euros but for this money I was expecting air con and free wifi like many other hotels in Europe .
Everything else is good, good location , everyone very friendly, very clean hotel. Average bathroom. Restaurant menu just in German so could not understand what they offer and on the end decided not to have dinner.

Room Tip: If you looking for place to stay in summer time I would look for hotel with air con.

We spent 3 nights in January 2012 (3-6 of January), having 2 standard double rooms and a junior suite, with a good rate for what they offer.
The hotel is in a good location and has a large parking.
The rooms are very clean, in the modern bathroom we found all the toiletries needed, it was warm and nice.
Breackfast is excellent, and the service is very good.
The hotels offers for free, in the lobby, snacks, coffee, tea and some sweets.
The personel of the reception is extremly polite and helpful.
We asked some recomandations for a good restaurant with local food and their suggestion was amaising, we enjoyed a lot.
One of us forgoted the glasses in the restaurant and the receptionist, very kind, offered to call immediatly at the restaurant and to fix the issue.
For sure we'll come back at this hotel, if ever will be again in Regensburg.

Hotel has a great location and a very nice breakfast. Rooms are spacious for the area and very clean. Parking is 7 EUR per night in underground garage.

Only 1 English language tv station, but entire staff is (at least) bilingual.

The hotel was nice and the room was very modern. There was a lot of road construction going on just outside our room so the noise level was unusually high. The hotel is located on a very busy thoroughfare so lots of traffic out front. It is also very close to several train tracks with train coming and going all night long.

The hotel restaurant was Italian and the lunch we had there was good but nothing special.

The bathtub in our room was literally about 24" off the floor so getting in and out was hair raising. It had a shower but the partition to keep water from spraying onto the bathroom floor was ineffective. It only came out from the wall about 2' so that left about 4' open for water to spray. Very bad design.

No matter what anyone says or writes, it is at least a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Old Town from this hotel. Just be prepared for lots of brisk walking.

There is one English TV channel which isn't unusual for Europe but you do get tired of hearing the same BBC reports over and over.

We did find a neat restaurant just about a block away from the hotel. The name is Sam Kullman's Diner and they have traditional German fare but also make great hamburgers, ribs, wings, etc. Really cool place.

The breakfast at the hotel was good. They had scrambled eggs and sausage balls plus a miriad of cheeses, fruits, cereals, yogarts, etc.

The parking at this hotel was excellent. They have an underground garage so it's easy enough.

All in all, the hotel was good. They do have a laundry on the first floor where you can do a load or two if need be. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke very good English.

I would probably opt for something in Old Town if we were to return. This hotel was full of business people which is fine but the long walk to the Old Town district was a killer.

We spend one night in Hansa Hotel during traveling by car. The hotel is good placed, our room was clean, bathroom modern, beds were comfortable. I recommend this hotel for business people, who need a good stay to sleep. Breakfast was excelent with o lot of baker´s ware and german sausages.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and found it suited our needs perfectly and was good value for money. Some of the other hotels I checked were quite expensive due to their old town location.
The hotel is approx 10 minute walk from the main parts of the old town - walking over the bridge across the train tracks. We had no problems walking to and from the town each morning and evening but other guests seemed to have rented bicycles.
Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of cold meats, cheese, bread, toast, cereal and tea/coffee.
There was no air conditioning in our room but the weather was not too hot while we were there but if it was a bit warmer then this might have been an issue.
The location outside the old town suited us as the Airportliner shuttle service was able to drop us right to the door from Munich airport and we just walked a few minutes to the train station when we were moving on to our next destination.
