“Great find in Passau”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

We had the pleasure of spending one wonderful night in Passau in September. We selected Passauer Wolf based on location and couldn't be happier with our choice. The room was very comfortable and quiet considering it was on the street side of the hotel. The staff was very courteous. Breakfast was excellent! We used the hotel parking, don't worry if it isn't available because there is ample spaces across the street on the promenade. I look forward to a return visit to the Passauer Wolf

We spent one night in this hotel in October 2013. We hadn’t booked so we just walked in off the street and we managed to take the last room. The room was compact but excellently clean. We wanted a twin, which was fine for two chaps sharing and our room had a view to the river. There was an ensuite shower room, which was fairly small but again pristine. It was a great location for central Passau. We took a walk down to the river and managed to sample many of the bars of the town. There was a café bar 50 yards from the hotel but no noise to talk about. There is also a back door (they may call it a front door) onto the river bank where the cruise ships are. We used it as a base for Passua and we were in walking distance of everywhere. We will definitely stay in this hotel if we are in the neighbourhood again. Parking in Passau was a bit of an issue but that is nothing to do with the hotel. Do not park in the shopping centre car park as it closes at night and is closed on a Sunday. Try the Irish bar just 100 yards from the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back had a river view.

A nice hotel, approximately 15 minutes walk from railway station. Hotel was in the old town, alongside the river. Staff were friendly and informative. Rooms were good and breakfast had everything you needed and then some. Lucky to be there when the festival was held along the river in August. Lots of restaurants around the hotel.

We stayed one night in this hotel on our way back to Belgium. We haven't booked it in advance and chose it on the spot according to the reviews on tripadvisor.
We were lucky to get the last available room, which was fabulous. It was very spacious for the four of us with the view to the Danube. The double bed was huge, 2 x 1m, comfortable for 2 adults and a child.
The receptionist was very friendly, immediately arranged for extra sheets, towels and offered us a welcome drink.
The breakfast was fine, enough choice for everybody.
Unfortunately there was no room available for a second night, but the receptionist arranged a room for us in their partner hotel.
We will definitely stay in this hotel if we are in the neighbourhood again.

Stayed here for one night before taking our cruise on Danube. The reservation process was efficient and easy. It is 10 minutes walk from the train station through the old town, but right along the river where the cruise ships are located. The hotel was clean with a beautiful facade on the outside. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very polite. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.

Room Tip: This hotel is next to a historic church and on the old town pedestrian walk. The church was under re...

This hotel is all a traveller could desire. Easy walking distance from the station, a quiet location at night, and set amongst historic buildings combined with the conveniences and comfort of a modern hotel.
Breakfasts were great with a large range to chose from.
We were cycling along the Danube for 2 weeks and our end point was Passau. We arranged to have our luggage sent to this hotel. Unfortunately for us, parts of Europe experienced the worst flooding ever and our luggage did not arrive.
The staff at this hotel were wonderful in contacting the courier on our behalf and making sure it arrived before our time of departure. Not an easy job!

Room Tip: Room prices do vary. The comfort rooms are very comfortable.

Stayed 1 night as part of a cycle tour . Staff very helpful in storing bikes and generally were friendly and obliging . The hotel is well situated in the old part of Passau in an attractive building .
It is however let down by the rooms . Although functional they had the feel of a modern budget hotel . The shower worked ok , the bed though on the firm side was acceptable and considering the cost the hotel represented good value for money. The breakfast buffet was good with a good selection of cold foods . The cooked parts however (eggs, bacon etc ) looked very sad..
Thus although i would recommend this hotel i left with a slight feeling of disappointment
One minor quibble was the TV s in the room It had 2 TVs and when you changed the channel on one it turned on the other TV. usually on a different channel .
