Ms. Summerer runs a very nice B&B conveniently located to downtown Nuremberg with a 15 minute walk. We stayed for two nights in the "Gartenblick" room where the double (French) bed is comfortable. The room and bathroom are extremely clean and inviting. For breakfast, there is a nice assortment of cheeses, meets, and cerials. And a couple of choices for the Broetchen is something that we looked forward to. There is nothing like fresh German Broetchen. I highly recommend Hotel Vosteen. The one item that was a little frustrating is parking, unless you reserve a parking space. We didn't reserve one and wish we had. But it all worked out.

It was a pleasure to stay in a beautiful hotel that is so well maintained. As the owner informed me, some of the furniture in the hotel is actually incredibly old and many had to be restored to look as good as they do today. That includes the piano in the breakfast room, from the 1800s if I'm not wrong. I was thankful to be given the large Sonne room, which was actually quite surprising, considering that I travelled solo. As the staff member told me assuredly, "It's the most beautiful room in the hotel!" Which I actually believe to be true, because several vacant rooms were left open for people to admire their decor as they passed.

In general, the service in the hotel matches the pace of life in Nürnberg, but the staff is usually hospitable and polite. You can look forward to a nice chat at breakfast with the charming Florence who will put you at your ease instantly. =) The room does not have a safe or a mini bar, but it does encourage a more homely feel by making sure that all-day complimentary fruits, tea, coffee and water are available in the breakfast room which you can bring up to your room.

However, there is still room for improvement. The hotel does not have an elevator (which is actually a plus point, since an elevator might detract from the classic beauty of the hotel) but it's a rather long climb to the third floor. Yet, the steps are narrow on the right, and the only handrail is on the right! If you're trying to climb up the stairs with a heavy suitcase, you're pretty much forced to mince your way up on narrow steps with your suitcase in your left hand-which is a little odd considering that most people are right handed.

We stayed here for a few nights to visit Nuremberg and its Xmas Market. The hotel is fairly handily positioned just outside the north walls of the city and a short ride from the airport.
We arrived a bit early and our room wasn't ready so we took a different room on the top floor (3 storeys and no lift) but it was quiet and very pleasant. The rooms look comfortable and very clean. The decor is based on the 1950s but very attractive. The staff are very helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English - apparently all female.
The breakfast was adequate with a good choice of continental fare, albeit in a rather cramped room where table clearing didn't seem to be a priority. Eat early if you want the best choice of what's on offer.
For us it was a good base to see the sights and in a quiet location. There are plenty of restaurants in the city, about 20 minutes stroll away.

The hotel has the feel of a bed and breakfast. It is very inviting and in the middle of a quiet, beautiful street. You can walk to many restaurants. The rooms are perfect with lots of room as is the bathroom. The hotel is immaculate. The owner and her staff are very helpful in suggesting restaurants and points of interest to visit. The breakfast is good and there are lots of nice touches such as an offering of vitamins. I would come back in a minute!
