This is a small but impressive new museum and worth a visit, but on the whole, the collection is not as impressive as the architecture and the design department in particular is disappointing. There are a few highlights nonetheless (liked Ai Wei Wei's Tea Cube!!) and a good bookshop next door. There is a sort of spiral staircase that looks very smart but its irregularity makes at a bit difficult to navigate if you are poor-sighted or not the youngest - recommend the lift in this case. Attended an enjoyable concert here in the evening and the acoustics were far better than expected, but there were several hundred people there and only one poor woman serving drinks on a very hot evening indeed.
