“Very good Novotel, but the staff....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

This is a very good hotel, as most Novotel hotels that I stayed before (see other reviews). Rooms were spacious and clean, good bathroom, although as other Novotels, it's impossible to take a shower without splashing water all over the floor.
Breakfast buffet was very good, with pastries, fruits, cereals, eggs and much more. It's not withing a walking distance from Old town, but we had a car. Parking in Old Town area for the whole day cost around 13 Euros, which is not expensive.
Two things I didn't like about this Novotel:
1) the staff. People in the front desk were not nice. They were not rude, but a key-delivering machine would do their jobs. When we checked in, the guy in the front desk di not tell us anything about the hotel, the services, breakfast hours, pool, or internet. We had too ask everything. This is not a big deal, but we're not used to this kind of treatment in Novotel. Neverthless, there were some Germain employees serving breakfast who were very nice.
2) I don't understand why Novotel can't offer free wifi to their guests. It's amazing. They charge a lot for internet use in the hotel and offer 1 computer in the lobby... for the whole hotel! Not even in the lobby you can't access the internet for free!! Amazing. This is so common today even in Coffee shops, malls, etc. Why can't Novotel offer that? It's charged 9 Euros for 24 hours and 3 Euros for 1 hour. So mean!!!

Hotel was easy to find a bit out in the suburbs but close enough via the metro. Good breakfast. Place was clean and pleasant new build. Staff were good and efficient but not a lot of smiles on show.

A last minute choice as a previous reservation at apartment was not honored. Within minutes, we found this hotel ... great price, breakfast included, next to subway, welcoming staff, agreable sauna for relaxation..

Room Tip: we asked for upper floor, away from elevators and parking lot. Request honored

Beware of Accor's so-called 'Hot Deals': while the final price may appear to be appealing at first glance, consider the following details before you book your room (oh, and by the way, 'booking' doesn't mean a reservation here. Once you've booked, you've paid, and that's it):
1) the room you will get is probably amongst the simplest or smallest;
2) breakfast is a whopping €16 extra per person;
3) while parking at the hotel is free of charge, you will certainly need to spend at least €5.70 for a day ticket for two to travel to Nuremberg's town centre.

All in all, I would say it should take somewhat more to make the deal 'hot'. The savings gained do not justify the small-yet-important extra details which are left out (like the proximity to the town centre and isolation from any commerce, exclusion of breakfast).

Easy to find from the autobahn, enough parking lots. Rooms are not too big but with nice new furniture, TV and a small but well appointed bathroom. Clean, good service, good breakfast and dinner buffet.

Room Tip: hotel is located on a busy road - try to get a room to the back side

The hotel is well located for exhibition hall so everyone who comes to Messezentrum is more than happy with its location. Even if you like come by car, from the highway it is really simple to find it.
One bad remark: do not sleep on the street side! It is noisy and if you use to keep the window open during night you'll regret it. Being so close to a business center you shall "enjoy" all the late night "goodbyes" and cars flying away.
The breakfast was OK and the atmophere enjoyable.
