“well positioned”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

the room was clean and the staff were good. So well positioned for the railway and getting into town. would stay again. price is reasonable too. Nuremberg is a lovely city to visit. The breakfast also had really good tea which is rare outside Britain and there was a lot of choice.

My wife and I stopped overnight on a Treyn holiday. A meal had been laid on, it was superb. The rooms are clean and quite spacious with and excellent bathroom. The staff were very good and polite especially the bar staff.

The hotel is perfectly situated almost next to the main train station; so it is very easy to find and to connect to all the sites in the City and the transportation links. They have been doing some renovations; so the rooms were fresh and new. I paid an excellent price and my room was perfect; double bed, mini-bar & desk. The staff are nice and helpful and there is a restaurant on the main floor. My only complaint would be the high cost of internet; so many hotels are providing it free or for a small fee; the cost here seemed out of wack with similar properties.

Room Tip: The hotel is situated next to the train tracks; however the sound proofing is excellent and I barely...

This was a great choice for location just outside the westhall exit of the main station. If you are looking for convenience and great rooms this is it. Right around the corner in the station is the ubahn and sbahn and across the main road is the old city. The hotel provides a free 2 day transportation pass and we used it to go to the court house which is a five stop trip on the ubahn. We shopped across the street in the old city and could casually walk back to the hotel using the underground passages. Although we didn't see it the DB train museum is just a block away. Recommended for travellers looking for convenience. BTW the room we had was air conditioned, and during the summer this was a real boon. The staff was very accomodating and breakfast was enjoyable and filling.

This was a one night stop en route to our main holiday. You just walk across the road from the railway station and you can see the Intercity signs just on the left. We had room 210 initially but were not able to close the window but when my husband mentioned this they just moved us - excellent service.

Room 210 was by the rail line, but room 205, which we were moved to, just went on to the road. It was a very comfortable, quiet room.

To get into the Old Town you just turn left when leaving the hotel, then right through a short underpass and then can go whichever way you prefer as all roads lead to the centre!

One thing to note - the hotel hands out a free city travel pass, but it depends on your hotel rate. We were on an organised holiday and were not entitled to it. I mention this as in the hotel's website it does not say about this restriction.

Room Tip: Room 205 does not go by the railway and is quieter.

On an outward journey to Austria, we stayed at the Intercity Hotel in Nurnberg. The hotel is situated very close to the station, so easy access with luggage and easy access to the walled city of Nurnberg. The hotel is standard Inter-City style, clean, basic, but very comfortable.
The food, dinner and breakfast was very good and nicely presented. Plenty of variety as well.
We spent the morning in the centre of the city walking and enjoying the scenery. Just 5 minutes away from the hotel, it was ideal for a quick visit (we stayed over 2 hours).... the
streets were busy, the walking easy. Step climb to the castle / area.....not very good a view
for our effort. However, the centre was interesting, lots of shops and activity. Would recommend this as a stop-over hotel. We didn't hear any noise from trains or the road nearby.

Room Tip: Choose one on at back - away from road and no noise from trains. Otherwise the rooms seemed all qui...

This hotel seems to be in the middle of everything ..I was with a tour group and some of them were going to a biergarten down the street.. The hotel was comfortable, nice room ,clean, quiet ..hotel desk clerks were helpful , friendly, they offered to exchange my larger euros to smaller for me. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good choice for everyone. This is a good hotel to stay at
