“Good for a short stay in Nuremberg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

The hotel is situated within walking distance of the castle and many of the main sights in Nuremberg's old town. The hotel is large and the rooms are spacious and clean, however both breakfast and wifi cost extra. While staff were not unfriendly, they had a rather bored and indifferent attitude. Despite that, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in the city due to its good location and comfortable facilities.

Azimut is not the ultimate luxury you would get at the price you pay but it is decent enough to stay. Hotel is big but lacks features like temperature control. The helpdesk is good and location is convenient too. I really enjoyed there breakfast, good variety and fresh.

The hotel was quite nice, the staff was very nice, and after traveling for quite a few hours from Russia, the Staff were very willing to allow me to have my room very early. The hotel was located 2 blocks from the uban(Metro) and was about a 5 min walk to the castle and plenty of sights from there, and about 10 to 15 min to the city center depending where your wanting to go. overall really nice stay would absolutely stay there again.

We really enjoyed this hotel, and I would go as far to say that it was one of the nicest on our stay in Europe. I will get my only complaint out first-and that is that they did not mention that the breakfast did cost money. (I did just notice that it is noted on here though, so that is my fault). The breakfast is 10 euros a person, but I really didn't mind paying anyways because the breakfast is large and delicious! I'm not sure why it says it is so far from the center, we had no problem walking to the sites. Make sure you do know where you are going though when trying to get to the hotel though, because their website is not very helpful. The rooms were very clean, the shower was heavenly (large fluffy towels are hard to come by!), and the staff went out of their way to help us. I would definitely stay here again if I returned! (P.S. It is a great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.)

We arrived around dinner time and asked for a recommendation. The desk clerk highly recommended a nearby Italian restaurant....which was a step up from terrible. If we had walked into the city walls, just 10 minutes further (and we would have researched more if this wasn't just as a stop over after a long day of driving), we could have had a very pleasant and charming dining experience.

As other reviewers mentioned, I don't know that the pillows qualify as an actual pillow and I'm honestly not sure if our room or the room downstairs was the sauna....and the radiators weren't even on!

We chose to have breakfast there and we're pleasantly surprised at the spread they provided.

All in all, you get what you pay for but even so I think it may be a tad overpriced and the staff could know more about local dining.
