“Tasty, tasty, tasty. Delicious too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We stopped off here for lunch one day and I must say that the Nuremburger Wurst (sausages) were excellent.

The place was busy and based on the quality one can see why. Service was good an attentive, and the clothes are traditional Bavarian.

Inside is very nice, done like an Alps cottage although as it was summer then we sat outside.

Definatley worth a stop for lunch or a snack.

“Typical German, no need for a review... It's famous anyway...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

Here you will not find a big selection and besides the dishes are topic German food but it's an experience to try and with a nice weather it's very nice eating outside. I suggest to do a reservation. Waitress are not really friendly but this is typical of very crowded and famous places. Obviously Nuremberg's sausages!

“Culture in the center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Great location. Traditional German structures are all around in the Altstadt. Close to the sights. Chose this place for some traditional German food with good friends. Nice place to eat and stay for awhile.

“central loation with long tradition”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

The Bratwurst hausle has a long tradition, located right in front of the market, it attracted visitors and Nürnberger over the centuries. The Bratwurst is still made over an open fireplace, the atmosphere is still the same, nor even the numerous tourists can change that - you'll still find the old couple, eating lunch after the market at the next table. Pa attention: the bread basket at the table is not for free, you'll be charged for what you eat!

“lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

this place is one of the most ancient in Nuremberg, also local eat there, even if it looks like a place for tourists, with waitresses wearing the traditional clothes. I was there in summer and I ate outside, inside the kitchen is in the middle of the room and you can see them cooking traditional sausages on wood. I ate traditional franconian food and it was excellent, the beer also was nice I tried helles, but my friends had weizen and dunkeles, everyone was great. try the mixed cheese and the boiled sausages, they're great, unfortunaltely there were no more bretzeln, yuo should go there around seven to be sure to get some.
