This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at a five star hotel in Munich which caters to a significant number of visitors from the Middle East, particularly the Gulf States. I was expecting 'proper' Lebanese cuisine of the standard found in Middle Eastern countries.
The restaurant itself is at basement level but is very big with elaborate Middle Eastern decorations and a stand with musical equipment, presumably for occasional belly dance shows.
Service was alright and the menu was extensive with all appetizers and main dishes plus grills covered, including options of choosing a mixed platter of mezze. However, prices were a bit much compared to other restaurants of the same or better standards. It cost us about 65 euro for one mixed grill platter (for 1 person) shared by two of us and an assortment of 3 or 4 appetizers and a couple of beverages.
The food tasted good but it wasn't superb and a big turn off was concerns about hygiene. We had caught a glimpse of the kitchen going in and it was a big mess.
Also, don't order soft drinks as they are all gasless unless they open a new bottle in front of you.
I would recommend this restaurant if you don't care about hygiene or cost and want to stuff yourself with some Lebanese food, but there are many other Turkish and Persian restaurants in Munich that offer similar grills at better standards. Arabesk might be okay for shisha smoking. I wouldn't go there again.
