Premises: I love good food and good wine. I also worked for many year with one of the most prominent sommelier in Verona.
1. Food: They propose a "surprise menu". When someone proposes a surprise menu, he must be beyond excellence to surprise the clients. They are not even good in cooking. I admit, the basil sorbet was amazing. But that's it. The rest of the food was edible, even good but nothing more.
2. Wine: I specifically asked them not to have ANY italian wine, wanting to taste some german or austrian wine. They said there would be no problem at all. They gave me 6 half-galsses of wine. Two of them were italian (Are you kidding me?!?!).
There were barely drinkable (and I adore the good bavarian white whines).
I paid for them 95 euros. And they were half glasses, like portions for a dessert wine to be clear.
3. Service: Nice but they cannot their kob. Moreover, they speak neither italian, nor english.
4. Venue: they pretend to be sophisticated just to result in a honky-tonk (small) hole. A medium-low italian taverna has generally more taste.
Total bill: 200 euros for two persons eating 10 small portions and 2 desserts and 6 half glasses of wines.
Stay away. Far far away. Thieves and scammers
