“Excellent place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

High quality food and service. Very rich designed place. On the menu you can choose 3/4/5 dishes. It's fixed price.
But we enjoyed from everything.
Highly recommended place.

“Excellent, partly steep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

The restaurant is part of a whole complex of marketing activities under the directorship of Alfons Schuhbeck, which include restaurants, spice shops/sales-points, ice-cream parlour, cooking school/courses, and those who watch German TV, you'll often see Alfons Schuhbeck in action on various cooking programmes.
The Sudtiroler Stuben, very centrally located, has a great ambience, although the atmosphere suffered a little on account of there being few guests the evening we went (some days ago; perhaps 15 to 20% of capacity). The welcome was nice/pleasant, and the service warmed considerably during the course of our three-course (sorry!) meal: a three-course menu, without drinks, costs 78 Euro per person.

Our party of four chose various dishes, all of which were delicious: the sauces perfect, the meat most tender. Of course, this is what one should expect from a restaurant like this, and the prices.

I thought the price of the wine steep. I chose a Lagrein from South Tirol, which you can pick up in shops for under 20 Euro (note: exactly the same wine from the same winery in Bolzano). It appeared on the bill as a Riserva for 85 Euros. For the party of four, each choosing the three-course menu, and with a bottle of wine, a couple of pre-dinner cocktails, water and espresso and two grappas, the bill came to 490 Euro.

Absolutely no regrets, apart from the overpriced wine, but obviously not the kind of restaurant you are likely to go to once a week.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the setting was just beautiful. The restaurant is divided into multiple smaller rooms, which allow diners to have a quiet, personal experience at the restaurant.

“Good Set Lunch Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

We went there for Saturday lunch and were not disappointment. All in all the food was excellent, just the dessert was, for a Michelin star restaurant, a bit "rustic".

“Business Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

We had a business dinner for 13 people. The food was incredible! The service was amazing. Overall a wonderful experience. The only challenge was having to choose a set menu for the group, due to group size.
