“Location is excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

I arrived at Munich Central Station via Lufthansa bus from Munich Airport.
It was about 45 minutes ride and 10.5 euros as of March 2013.
The hotel was across from the bus stop, just a minute walk without stairs, elevators.
It was the perfect location for the tourist with a suitcase.
Bus stop of route number 100 to go to the Neuen Pinakothek and Alte Pinakothek just between the hotel and the central staion was also convenient.
I was assigned a room with bathtub, and facing toward to Marienplatz in high floor as my request.
Staffs were kind and friendly.
The rooms are not widely, furniture was not ornate, but it was clean.
I thought the price of breakfast was offered a little expensive so that I went the central station every morning.
It was a 5-minute walk to supermarkets on Seidlstrasse from the hotel.
A few number of supermarkets were on the same floor such as REVE, denn's markt, ALDI.
It was fun for me.
After check-out, you had to receive a key for the door for a stair to go to bathroom on basement.

We stayed at the hotel as a group who were in town for some sightseeing and the hotel exceeded all of our expectations, especially when you take the price of our booking into account (around £80 each for a 3 night stay). Check-in was quick and efficient and the rooms were spacious with a large bathroom including separate shower and WC. A selection of toiletries was also provided. We were on the 11th floor and had an excellent view over Munich, seeing as far out as the Allinaz Arena lit up at night in all its glory.

As others have said, the location couldn't be better...directly across the street from Hauptbanhof and walking distance to a number of must-do places. You can even stoll into town if you feel like it. If you're there for the beer, Augustiner Keller is literally a 10 minute walk, Lowenbrau (one of the best in Munich) is one U-Bahn stop and the city centre is only a 5 minute tube ride away. Right around the corner there's a strip of bars and nightclubs too. We really couldn't have asked for any better location wise.

The staff were great, too. The barman was first class and went out of his way to make us feel welcome, giving us directions and looking after us in the evening with a constant supply of freshly pulled Paulaner - what more could you ask for?

Sone other reviewers have expressed concern given the hotel's location next to a sex shop and casino - please don't let this worry you - the hotel isn't on a seedy block and there were no undesirables lurking around, despite us being there at the weekend. We found the people in and around the hotel to be friendly and helpful (even the taxi drivers)!

If you're looking for a budget hotel in a great location from which to explore the city and surrounding area, look no further than the NH.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking towards the Allianz on the 11th and 12th floor for a great view over the city...

Nothing special about this hotel overall, but that doesn't make it bad. It was a good home base for a few days in Munich. The train station is right outside the hotel which was helpful, but might be better to be a little closer to the main attractions. It's not far at all, a stop or two, but personal preference is to not get on a subway every time I want to see something. We had nothing but pleasant interactions with the staff and they were always very helpful. Our room was clean, somewhat tight, but as expected in european hotels. I didn't really have any complaints about the hotel at all, but I don't have anything to rave about it either.

This hotel is very central. It is opposite the central station and to walk up to the town center. The rooms are a bit small, but are clean and the beds are comfortable. For those who do not want to take the cafe in totel ($ $ $) so is crossing the street and enjoy the many choices from the train station.

Depends on what you're looking for... In my opinion the hotel is in a great location but it's a little run down and the service isn't great at all.

For starters the staff refused to help my wife with our bags and then they were very slow with any requests we did have, on many occcassions we had to ask a few times. The rooms and bathrooms are also very small and when asked if we could move we were advised that they only had 14 double rooms in the hotel which we found hard to believe. The hotel generally needs a good freshen up.

All this being said the location is fantastic.

Its suitable for friends just looking for somewhere to crash.

The hotel is OK. Nothing special, except for the location. Location is very near to the train station and subways, which makes it easy for us to explore the city. Also there are many choices of place to eat. The sad thing is We can not buy any tour tickets directly from the hotel, so we have lack information of tourist popular "places to go" and schedules. We have to look for the tour office ourselves, and got late for the tour to the castle.
