“Interesting Weekend in Munich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

When we booked the hotel, was unaware that it was next to, and across the road from a strip joint that boasted table top dancing. Great views for our teenage boys, but noisy on Friday and Saturday night. Had to leave the windows open as there was no air conditioning and the noise and lights from the strip joints was not good. Close to train station and shopping, but rowdy and not great for families. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and staff very helpful.

Room Tip: Higher floors would have less noise.

Very good location, near Munich hauptbahnhof. The front desk staff was very friendly. We had a really lovely penthouse apartment, which worked fine for a family of 4 persons. Breakfast was very rich and delicious. Good hotel compared with price, we come again.

The hotel itself was lovely; the rooms were small, but you would expect that in a city centre hotel. The bathroom basin, however, was too small to enable one to wash in comfort! The fruit juice at breakfast was revolting and tasted artificial.

Apart from that, however, the only thing wrong was the location; although very convenient for the central station, it was in what looked like a red light area, and I was embarrassed for our friends coming to pick us up with a small child.

The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the main train station and 15 minutes walk leisurely steps from Marienplatz. The hotel is small, clean and very pleasant. Rooms are small but quite adequate in size, are all necessary. Comfortable beds, bathroom with shower and hairdryer. LCD TV. Radiator with regularity. No air conditioner, but in March he told us was not needed. The staff are friendly, willing to help. In the room settled ahead of time.
Breakfast good and varied, but without the gastronomic delights. Free Wi-Fi internet works well.
If you need a hotel for an overnight stay and breakfast, then this is something that you need.

We spent 6 nights there in February 2013. The hotel was clean and was just 1 1/2 blocks from Munich's main train station. The room was small and located on the Street. Just one night of lots of Street noise (Saturday). Nearby/next door were stripper clubs but they did not seem to a problem. Never felt unsafe or was hassled.

The bathroom was very small (extremely small). The Young lady that checked us in on Saturday night was very nice as well as the younger man that worked the front desk in the afternoons/evenings. Others were not so nice. The breakfast was good and had plenty to select from.

However, the bill was considerably higher than quoted months earlier. Would stay there again but would make sure of the costs before reserving.

In summary, clean, safe, great location (Grayline and other tours companies leave from in front of the train station or from the train station), and plentiful and good breakfast,

Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back.

Okay, the neighborhood looks a little seedy with the strip clubs and all, but it's hard to beat the location. It's located just a very short walk to the main train station which is also a hub for all of Munich's public transportaion. The staff is quite friendly and helpful and the room is fairly good sized for a European hotel. The breakfast bar is above average and they offer free internet. I was totally satisfied and would stay there again.

Room Tip: If possible, request a room not facing the street as a good deal of partying goes on at night.

Look. This hotel is not sexy. It just works. It is clean. Everything is there (including a mini bar). The staff are friendly and know their way around. The breakfast is plenty. But she ain't sexy. This is a good stay, if you are just looking for a place to sleep.
