“Must See While in Munich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

It is a small church but there is a lot see inside. Because it is small the crowd inside appeared larger than it was but don't let that deter you. Make sure that you set aside at least 15 to 30 minutes for this place.

“A Munich classic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Ornate and heavily gilted, not the spare soaring lines of traditional Gothic. It's hard to tell what is original and what was rebuilt after the war.

“Immaculately decorated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

My personal favorite of all the churches I have seen in Munich. This nearly hidden gem is located close to the Sendlinger Tor. Small, but it’s amazing the delicate but spectacularly ornate gold and marble fixtures, figurines and paintings located within this church. This would be at the top of my suggestions of must see things to do/see in Munich.

“Wowsies!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

This is a little gem in the middle of a nice shipping street. It's quite small but completely packed with Rococo-style beauty! The whole roof and walls are covered with elaborate paintings. The altar is do extravagant, even after trying to see everything for a while, I certainly didn't have the time to identify all the statues Abbs icons. There is so much gold everywhere and extreme extravagance! I don't think I would ever able to focus in a service in this church. Not a "must-see" but certainly enjoyable :)

Fee: none
Location: very convenient, right near a subway
Time needed: 5-20 minutes

“Over the top church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

You walk into this church and BAM, it hits you in the face with all the bells and whistles, gold and silver, cherubs and saints you could want in your church. A giant showroom of the Asam's skills that has been turned into an actual church. Jam-packed gaudy. Loved it!
