Location is wonderful - In the heart of Munich, walking distance to beer gardens, churchs and English Gardens. We had a room on the 4th floor with no lift. This meant carrying luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Office is on the 2nd floor through the breakfest area. Quite confusing.

Request a room in the back. Our room was facing the street and we needed the windows open at night as the room was very hot. The street was quite loud through the night and early in the morning. The beds were clean and very comfortable, bathroom was also very clean. The furniture in the room was in need of desperate repair. The night stand and armoire were held together by rubberbands. The lamp shade used to be white, but was so covered by years of dirt, it should have been thrown out years ago. The room was also devoid of any pictures, yet there were nails still in the walls.

Breakfest was good, offering meats, cheeses, breads and fruits. Staff answered all questions and provided maps.

The pension needs to make some needed repairs to the furniture but overall the stay was pleasant and the location made it easy to return to the room several times during the day.

Steps from a large market with a great beer garden filled with friendly locals, we loved the location. We had a very quiet small room facing the back courtyard. Breakfast was a large assortment of german foods. Friendly helpful staff.

The Pension Seibel is located in a fantastic location just a block from the open-air market. Only a short two block walk from there to the Marienplatz.

The staff was friendly and the room was nice but VERY small. However, for the price we didn't mind. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner - but not the point where we didn't grin and bear it.

In the city of $300(US)/night rooms - the 75 Euro per night (or so) Pension Siebel is a welcome place to stay right in the heart of the action.

*Note: lots and lots of stairs - pack accordingly.

I've stayed at the Pension Siebel a number of times in each season and have found it to be a great way to experience Munich. It is walking distance to most every point of interest. It is not an overdone 4-star resort, it's like visiting your German cousins. The rooms are basic, but most certainly have all the necessities. I once stayed in THW "elite 4-star" hotel in Munich and was not nearly as happy with it. I will not book any other hotel in Munich!
