“excellent business hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014

if one choose and goes to meridian it's because you know what to expect…high quality rooms and excellence in service. which is actually the case. i personally think it is a bit boring and with title "soul"… just in front of the hotel there is the sofitel which in my opinion a bit more "colourful" …thus though i had a great time I believe I will go to another place next time…
btw: internet is not included and the parking fares are pretty high

My friend and I stayed here for 1 night as an indulgent treat after 5 days at Oktoberfest before flying back home to AUS.
It was perfect!
The staff at reception were helpful and welcoming, despite having to deal with an extremely rude and complaining guest!
The rooms were so cosy, comfortable and clean, and the buffet breakfast was plentiful with so much variety.
The hotel is located directly across from Munich's Central station, and a convenient 7 minute walk to the Oktoberfest grounds- which was great coz our delicious takeaway pork knuckle rolls were still warm when we ate it in our rooms haha

Hands down 10 out of 10!!

This is a state of the art hotel and the staff was always on top of things. The only problem I saw with service during my 8 day stay was big lines to check out in the morning.

However it's a across from the train station which attracts a downtrodden demographic on the sidewalks and it's a three block walk from the main pedestrian area.

We spent 5 days winter holidays in Munich before leaving for skiing in Austria. We chose this Le Meridien because of its practical location, near the Munich Main Train Station. After staying here, we weren't disappointed at it. Furthermore, we were impressed by how this hotel could provide us a wonderful stay in Germany.

Excellent points:
- We were impressed by the check-in staff in the evening, around nine. We had a receptionist named Ann-Cathrin checked in our room. She was very nice and energetic. And throughout our stay, all receptionists are very nice, helpful, and efficient.
- The breakfast was "köstlich" and has a big variety.
- Spacious room
- Even though the hotel is not in the old town, it is practical to just walk to Marienplatz. And the proximity to the Main Station is just gold.
- The value for the money paid was awesome. It wasn't that expensive but the service we have got was good.

Some acceptable drawbacks:
- No Free WiFi in the room?
- The shower is still leaking water to the outside, but not that much.
- The room is too dark. It would be great if the room was as bright as the bathroom.
- Unfortunately, the extra bed is too short. To the people taller than 170cm, don't get an extra bed.
- Confusing TV.
- The room did not provide tea, coffee, and hot water kettle. I don't know, but most hotels do provide these things.
So overall it was great. People reading this review, if you're still hesitating which hotel to choose, we do suggest you to stay in this hotel.

All perfect except the hall, a style not adequate and a little old. Rooms are cozy and clean. The wellness area is comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel in in a very good position, 5 minute walk from the city center.

Took advantage of a special offering and was not dissappointed. This is not a luxury hotel or upscale boutique but offers a great overall value with style. Room was spacious, location was super convenient, and service was attentive. Despite the comments regarding locale (near main train station) and the associated "elements", the hotel served as a great jumping point for exploring Munich and taking day trips by train (including leaving to airport). Would recommend without hesitation.

Booked with SPG points and was not expecting such a good stay since I have had terrible experience with my last Le Meriden stay somewhere else.
Very elegant, clean and superbly situated hotel in the heart of Munich. Walking distance to downtown/Marien platz. Excellent gym and spa to help the sore leg muscle after all the walking to and from downtown
