“Great location, 3 minutes from Central Train station, easy walk to Marionplatz”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This hotel is a 3-5 minute walk from the Central Train station, which is about a 40 minute easy train ride from the Munich airport. While walking out of Munich airport, the train station is clearly marked and easy to use. The ride….the blue S1….. from the airport to the Central Train station was about $10 euros and you can buy your ticket an a customer friendly ATM like machine. Trains were leaving about every 15 minutes. The hotel staff was great, and gave me a map of city centre Munich which is an easy walk. The hotel room was about $125 night on booking.com and was clean and typical for like a 3 star european hotel. The breakfast buffet was not included in my rate, and was 14 euros.

We would recommend this hotel for price and location to the train station plus you are easily in walking distance to the old city. The trams and airport bus are all located at the train station and this is where you are going to pick up your tours. Do not be afraid to use the tram or subway. Once you get the hang of it it is a great way to get around. The train station also has food stands and grocery mart. You can grab a beer or water to take on your train ride or just have a snack and drinks for your room. The hotel does not provide face cloths so take your own. Also you must get a new password each day for the wifi. I did not know this and could not figure out why it did not work. We grabbed breakfast at Coffee Fellows as they make a great Americans decaf and is was on the way of our travels each morning. Breakfast at the hotel is too expensive. You will find the food portions huge in Germany. We ordered an appetizer and main course and split it. They were happy the bring us an extra plate and we saved money and had a great meal each time with no left overs. The rooms are clean but small compared to our standards but you are in Europe. We had no complaints and I would return here to stay and also recommend it.

This is an excellent hotel. We booked on a package deal from the UK (flights and hotel) and felt we got an excellent deal. We arrived on the Airport Coach / Bus from the Airport, which arrives at the main Munich train station. The King’s Centre hotel is just round the corner from Munich train station, literally took us about 3-4 minutes to walk there. The hotel is also located very close to the centre of Munich. If you turn right out of the King’s hotel, you immediately see the green twin towers of the famous ‘Frauenkirche’ (Cathedral church) – you just need to walk towards this to get to the centre. The main high street of the centre is a nice leisurely 10 minute walk from the hotel.
In terms of the hotel itself, the staff were very friendly. Check-in was very easy, and the helpful lady at reception gave us a free map (she also marked on the map where the hotel and city centre was). We had a twin room, which really was excellent. The bed’s were very comfortable, the room spacious, good sized bathroom and shower. There was an excellent large flat screen tv – this included CNN, BBC World News and Eurosport channels. The size of the room was great, with plenty of space to store our large suitcases. There was also an excellent wardrobe.

The hotel has a lot of character, with lot’s of nice paintings and top quality furniture. We were on a room only basis, so cannot comment on the breakfast. Would we stay here again – a definite YES.

Room Tip: Stayed at the back of the hotel which was very quiet.

We stayed here for 1 night and chose the location as it was close to the train station. Is also about a 10 min walk from the main city strip, which is pretty cool.

A nice hotel, that could do with a bit of an update in the rooms.

Comfy bed, nice buffet breakfast.

Whilst the wifi was free, the way it is delivered seems quite dated, with 30 mins use once only vouchers (unlimited vouchers).

Perfect for a transit style stay, and we would be happy to return.
Friendly staff, great customer service.

We stayed here for 3 nights and have nothing but nice things to say about our visit. Perfect location and friendly staff.

The 'bar' can get a bit congested so don't expect a quick tipple before bed but other that that I really can't fault this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for a week during Oktoberfest 2013 and fell in love with the hotel.
Generous rooms by European Standards, well appointed.
Very clean and comfortable.
Breakfasts in the restaurant are second to none...the manager is a perfectionist.
We stay again in a heartbeat. Close to the railway station, walk to old Munchen city centre and the Glockenspiel, walk to the Oktoberfest site.

Room Tip: Back of hotel, away from busy streets

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of October. The hotel is very clean and in a great location, it takes about 5 to 10 mins to walk to the train station (Hauptbahnhof) and a 15 min easy stroll to the Marienplatz or two stops on Ubahn.
The reception staff at the hotel are very helpful and always with a smile. You get given a card key which operates the lift and the door to your room. The rooms were nice but quite small. It had a two poster bed which was very comfortable and a wardrobe, but not much else. The shower was excellent, however be careful going in and out of the bathroom from the bedroom. On the floor under the bathroom door there is a metal lip which sticks up, which is meant to stop water getting onto the carpet to the bedroom. My wife and I twice stood on this by accident and it certainly stings a bit.
The continental breakfast was varied and very nice. There was plenty to eat with lots of choice's from cereals, yoghurt, meat, cheese, fruit, scrambled and boiled egg, sausages and bread. It is all self service and you can return as often as you want. Hot drinks are available from a machine and you can also have orange juice and water.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Regarding any trips you might want to go on, if you want to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle ( 2hr train journey ) then make your own way there. The organised trip will cost you about 40 Euro's ( This doesn't inc entry to the castle ), we paid 8 Euro's. However is does get very busy so I suggest you book a ticket online to get into the castle before you go to avoid queuing or disappointment.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 6th floor and it was very quiet even though our room faced the traffic. You can upg...
