“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Stayed here for 3 nights in Dec 2012 and couldnt fault it. The room was clean and comfortable. I agree it was a little too warm on one night and you are not able to turn down the heat so just had to open the window.
Its a few mins walk from the railway station and about 10 mins to the start of the main Christmas markets. Tram stop is just round the corner for easy access to all of Munich.
Staff were very helpful at all times and the breakfast was great - lots of cereals, juices, tea and coffee, breads, pastries, eggs, bacon and sausages. It is 12 Euros but well worth it.
Would definitely recommend this Hotel!

December 2012, our 7 night stay was wonderful in this clean and convenient hotel. Visited Christmas markets, 7 minute walk (can’t beat that!) to the Hauptbahnhof Munich (main railway station). All of the staff were kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms are typical small European, but very comfortable, quiet and clean and nicely appointed. Suggest 4th floor with courtyard view (non-smoking floor and quiet, especially if you like to open the window). Breakfast was excellent with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages, all types of cereal, fruits, yogurt, cheeses, breads, danish and cold cuts. Met with Stefan the Manager who was so accommodating and helpful…will definitely come back to his excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Suggest 4th floor with courtyard view (non-smoking floor and quiet, especially if you like to open t...

After 2 delayed flights and delays at baggage reclain, I evetually reached the Hotel about 10'30 pm. julie on reception was first class - she addressed me by name before I had said why I was there and explained all the necessary things about the hotel. I was too late to go hunting for a restaurant and Julie contacted a pizza delivery co. to deal with my hunger. The most attentive staff I have come across - felt welcome and valued. Yes the room was hot and I had window open for the duration, but it was a very comfy room. The hotel was best part of trip to Munich

Stayed for two nights as we visited the Xmas markets
Nice hotel we had room on first floor which was a smoking room our fault for not asking for a non smoking room the corridor was really smelly
The bedroom was so hot and even knocking off the air con did not help much had to open the window to cool the room
Had breakfast first day ok but only had a choice of scrambled egg boiled egg or hot dog type sausages as the hot food
used the rail station the next day for a brilliant breakfast
Drank at the bar both nights nice atmosphere and drinks reasonable value
Very central location and good value for money
Staff very helpful with any request

We stayed for 3 night in order to visit the Christmas markets. Brilliant location as a very short walk (5 minutes) to the hauptbahnhof Munich (the main railway station) Staff were very pleasant and friendly. They were even happy to check us in online for our flights and print off our boarding cards. Rooms very pleasant and powerful shower in bathroom. Good value for money. We will be back.

Very handy location within five mins of main railway station. Clean comfortable room, only complaint was that the room temperature was too high so we had to sleep with the window open to cool it down to a reasonable level. I would consider this a minor point though as everything else was great value especially the breakfast which was plentiful and refreshed continuously during service. All staff seemed very pleasant. Stroll down to Marienplatz and back an easy walk, just enough to work off some of the beer and Gluhwein!

We were in Munich for a concert at the Olympiahalle and wanted somewhere central to stay for a decent price and comfortable.

Kings center provided both of those. It is probably 2 mins walk from central station and is perfect for all public transport connections. We used trams to get to the castle and both local and underground trains to go everywhere else. It's walk able to the main square in 15-20 mins but so easy to jump on tube. Fast, efficient and cheap.

If travelling by public transport I'd recommend the MVV ticket for 3 days which cost 23 euros approx for the 2 of us.

In terms of hotel, the room was decent size, v comfortable, and great shower.

Staff friendly and helpful.

Only negatives were that the corridor and room smelled of smoke and breakfast was exoensive, although it was plentiful. After payIng once we then ate over at train station cafes the following 2 days.

Would recommend and would use again.
