“Good Bavarian fare”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

We've been to this restaurant and its beer garden on many occasions. The food is reliably good, if somewhat 'Bavarian'. Service is good although you can be unlucky and get one of the grumpy ones. By and large a good place to go if you haven't booked anywhere and can't be bothered to cook for yourself. If you are not from the area, you might like to consider nearby places as well.

“Delcious food and beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

I was staying at a hotel close to the Munich airport and wanted a traditional Bavarian meal and I got it. The atmopshere in the restaurant is very quaint and the service was very good. It is a tie for me between the food and the beer, both of which were fantastic. I liked the beer so much that I found a place in California to buy it and have enjoyed it a few times since my trip. I would definintely go back to this restaurant.

Great restaurant with local atmosphere, most food around 10 EUR. Its always quite full, but you might get some place - even thought reservation could help. Great local kitchen and beer - unfortunatelly not in 1 l Glasses.

“Great restaurant, beer, food, service and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

On the 2nd June 2012, 3 friends and I took a train from Munich and visited the Erdinger brewery on the outskirts of Erding for a guided tour. Following the tour, we decided to eat at the Erdinger Weissbrau, the former Erdinger Brewery location.

We always eat food of the country we visit and ordered traditional dishes and more Erdinger Weissbeer. The weather being great, we sat outside with many other local people. Both the food and ale were really great. The atmosphere was very relaxing, watching life go by. As the brewery still owns the hotel, all of the brewey's ales are available. Prices were very reasonable. We had "mass" glasses which hold a litre of Erdinger ale and costed around 7 euros, just over £5. For information, the prices in Munich were also very reasonable - no price hikes like London!

The staff were all dressed in Erdinger Brewery colours and were very friendly and courteous. They also allowed us to take photographs of them with us.

The restaurant is also very nice inside and operates as a hotel. On our next visit to Munich, we will also be staying at the Erdinger Wrissbrau hotel to enjoy more of Erding and the superb Erdinger Weissbeer served.

Totally recommended.
