“Our second time here.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We stayed here in 2011 on our first trip to munich where we only had enough time to see the city itself. So we decided to return to use Munich as a base for exploring other parts of Bavaria and revisiting places in Munich we didn't see or wanted to see again. The room was comfortable, the breakfast more than adequate and it has a pleasnt outside area where weather permitting you can sit outside and have a drink.Very close to the main station and only a short walk to the heart of town. Will stay again if we visit munich again.

After spending our first night in Munich at the Munich Inn, what a pleasure to move here for two nights. Hotel is very well done. Rooms are lovely and spacious. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Did not eat at hotel.

We stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable with a four-poster bed. Although the beds were "German style" (two singles pushed together) they were actually very comfortable and luxurious. The bathroom was a good size and included a bath (which cost an extra $20 per night). The entire hotel was very clean and well maintained and followed the Bavarian theme without being a slave to it. Breakfast was included and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The selection was excellent and they even had a waffle iron, which we made good use of! The hotel is within 5 min walking distance from the central station and about 10 minutes from Karlsplatz. In all, our stay here was a pleasure and I would return enthusiastically to this hotel.

We had a great time in Munich . The hotel is v close to station . We took a cab as we didn't know this & paid 10€ to drive about 400m!! Hotel lobby & breakfast room is nice enough. We found the staff particularly helpful. Our room was in the annex and ( looking at the pics ) we had poor one . Very dusty . Four poster bed crammed in there but u couldn't see the tv as the bluddy post was in the way ! We did laugh at this tho and fought for the side of the bed with a tv view ! Excellent breakfast . Location ok. We walked most places .

We stayed there for a night between our flight in from Boston and the noon train the next day to Saltzburg. As other reviewers note, it's extremely close to the train station and we found it with no difficulty. The room was small but was fine with a comfortable bed. The front desk staff were polite. We spent the remainder of the day having lunch at a near by beer hall and then going into the downtown area which was walkable.

The hotel is in a slightly dodgy area next to strip clubs and casinos, but nothing that's an issue during the day or early evening. Our room was on the street side but we had no noise issues. After an all night flight, we had no problem sleeping.

The breakfast buffet which was included in the room price was excellent.

If we were travelling under the same set of circumstances we would stay there again.

This was my first time to Munich, and before we visited, I researched a number of hotels. I settled on King's because it was in a good location at a reasonable price. I had read that the area was questionable, but honestly, I think those reviews were exaggerated because we would walk back late at night and not once did it feel unsafe. Yes, there is a adult club down the street but it was really a non-factor. The rooms are very clean and nice, the staff was accommodating and everything we wanted to see was no more than a 20-minute walk. My only concern is a late charge that just showed up on my back account nearly two weeks after we stayed there but I'm hoping to clear that up shortly. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this hotel (although stay tuned if it turns out to be an erroneous charge!)

We traveled to munich from prague via bus. It was 4 hours journey. This hotel was walking distance from München Hbf station. We stayed in hotel for 2 nights in august 2012.

Location of hotel is good. Old town is around 1.5 kms from hotel. Staff at reception gave us information about places to visit. They speak manageable English. Rooms were small but cozy. Bathroom was clean and nice. We enjoyed our stay in munich. There is a supermarket near to hotel.
Overall I would recommend this hotel. It’s good value for the price.
