“Avoid this dirty place!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Likely, only a few rooms resemble the ones shown on its website. I had unfortunately made the mistake of prepaying my four-day stay in Munich at this hotel over the internet. The room I was given on the first night looked as if it had not been cleaned for years: filthy, stained carpet; stained fabric headboard; stained lampshades; missing light fixtures; dim light bulbs; all of which contributed to the room's miserable atmosphere. The next morning when daylight broke, I understood why the room was kept so dim! I complained to the front desk clerk about the dirtiness, how the room bore no resemblance to what is shown on their website, and asked to be moved to one of the hard-floor, spacious rooms shown on the hotel's website. The clerk responded that my room was different because it was a single, not a double as shown on the website. I retorted that single should not equate to filthy. She arranged a transfer later in the day.

Wireless internet never worked during my stay. The excuse: the signal was not strong enough to reach all the way up to the sixth floor. But the inconvenience was nothing compared to the filth of the first night!

Last, though conveniently located directly across from the Hauptbahnhof, the rooms are all subject to the extreme noise of arriving and departing trains late into the night and early in the morning.

Seems quite far from the airport. €18.30 cab ride from the airport to be exact. Staff seemed to be annoyed at the littlest requests. Was charged for wifi and it didn't work. Bed and pillow was uncomfortable. Noisy hall ways and thin walls and ceilings had me up all night listening to the other guests. Shuttle made an unexpected stop in an otherwise tight schedule while trying to reach our flight out of Munich. Noticed there were lots of other hotel chains closer to the airport. Would try one of those next time for sure.

The best quality of this hotel is its location one block from the train station and close to Oktober Fest. However, the hotel felt dark and outdated. The rooms are big, but the bathrooms need renovation. Even though we were there in late September, the room was hot (no AC) and very noisy at night, so we couldn't open the windows.
I think is an expensive for what you get.

Traveling with 6 girlfriends and three of our rooms were large by European standards. These were the double rooms. We also had one single room which was about the same size as a cruise ship cabin, but for one person was good. The beds were hard and the pillow's soft which was perfect for me. We were on the 5th floor and could hear the noise at the bar next to the hotel. The floors were very dusty and one of our two bathroom sink's didn't work. The staff was very helpful and spoke decent english.

Stayed there for one more time on a 3 days business trip to Munich.
Hotel is just one minute walk from the central station and 8-10 walking minutes from the Stachus square where the pedestrial road to Marienplatz starts.

Very good buffet breakfast.

Spaceous rooms, but hotel makes a worn impression. Internet is free, but very slow, especially during the evenings. No A/C. Breakfast is excellent, but breakfast room is small and crowded. Staff is English speaking and helpful. 5 min from main railway station, with excellent metro connections to everywhere in the city.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back. The front rooms face the railway station and a noisy main street

rooms are nice, location is excellent just across from the train station, and the staff are cordial and helpful. But while eating breakfast at the restaurant, a rodent scurried across the floor. The waitress seemed to know what to do, as she chased it with a bucket. All the patrons had their feet up. We left before the incident played itself out. Bottom line is you'd be better staying someplace else.
Also, no air conditioning in the rooms, so if its Summer it will be hot.
