“Pleasant hotel, very convenient for BMW Munich plant/HQ and Olympiapark.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Stayed here for business. The hotel is located in the same tower block as apartments. It's a little odd as the lobby is on the ground floor and all the rooms are on the 13th-15th floors. There are shops catering to the residents around the bottom (grocery store, bakeries, bank, döner kebabs etc) which can be convenient. The nearest u-bahn station is an easy 5 minute walk away. In cold weather it is good to be so close.

My room was on the small side but fine for the purpose. The room includes a fridge, coffee maker and iron. Both wired and wireless Internet are available and unlike many hotels in Munich the speed has been usable. This may be because the hotel was not full so your mileage may vary. The desk staff have been very friendly.

Breakfast is ok but the breakfast room is small and the selection is disappointing compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Munich. My rate included breakfast, if not I would be tempted by the local bakeries which offer breakfast for around €4.

The gym facility is very nice with a good selection of new equipment. The only odd thing is the gym is not directly accessible from the hotel; you have to leave the hotel and walk outside for 10 meters. Also note that your room key has to be activated to open the gym. Information regarding the gym was not in the hotel guide in my room so I had to figure this out.

One pleasant surprise was ESPN America on tv which made a nice change from CNN.

All in all I was satisfied with my stay and will consider using the hotel again in the future.

The hotel is not difficult to find. It's near the BMW Welt and Olympiapark. The staff is friendly and very helpfull, knows about all the thing to see and visit. Explains about the Metro-System (U-Bahn). The beakfast is nice, a lot of everything, the staff also takes care special needs (hot/warm milk..). The U-Bahn station is 3 min away, parking is next to hotel. The room was tidy and very nice . Furniture and bathroom looked new. The price was fair.

Good value for the price paid. Our room was clean and comfortable and we felt safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Common areas appeared that the hotel just completed major upgrades to carpeting, lighting and walls. Good location just five minutes walk from the city-central Olympicpark U-bahn station. Located in a condo complex, there are two fine bakeries, a sports-bar and a small convenience-grocery store adjacent to the hotel on the ground floor. Hotel could use better and larger signage to guide guests to the front entrance. I will definitely stay there again!

I was in Munich for 1 night and it was a Friday night. I wanted to be where there was some activity within walking distance like bars/cafe's... I also had a car, but wanted to park it at the hotel and not worry about it, if i go out.

I found a fun looking area with some action, then went to trip advisor to find closest hotels. This was the closest at about 2 miles away and i found a good price on travelocity. I am also a SPG member but i don't let that make my final decision.

it was kind of hard to find and once i found it you have to go up to the top of the parking garage to find the "front door". I didn't book it on travelocity when i decided to go to this hotel, in case i wanted to change my mind. I walked in and showed the front desk the price i could book, but she couldn't honor it. i didn't want to fight so i just paid the price she offered me. I also found out that it was 8 euro's to park my car for the night. Again it was friday night about 10pm and the hotel bar and food was already closed, but i did talk the woman working to make me a pizza and got me a beer. she just asked that i take it up my room so the other guests didn't see. i think they felt bad for not honoring the lower price, and i understand she didn't have the authority to give me a lower rate.

As for the room, it was a good size and clean. Bed was cozy. So i was happy with the room.

I also prepaid for breakfast at check in. I was happy with breakfast. I left the hotel at about 8am saturday morning and i didn't see any cafe's within walking distance.

Overall the room was great, but just not the location i was looking for. I will try and do a little more research for a more active location for next time.

This is a solid middle class hotel. It's located in the 1972 Olympic village and offers a great view either direction to the Allianz Arena (home pitch of Bayern Munich), which is nicely illuminated at night, or the Olympic Park.
Check in and Check Out are very quick. Standard rooms are ok, not too spacious though. But always clean and tidy, so is the bathroom. Executive rooms have more space. Furniture is fine. Plasma TV with a reasonable selection of channels.
Free WiFi is available for the first 24 hours. The speed is limited, but ok for checking mails and surfing the web. If you need more speed, you can "upgrade".
Breakfast selection in the restaurant is also ok. Nothing outstanding, but everything you expect in that hotel category. Lunch and dinner is also served in the restaurant. The menu is small with classics like pasta, pizza etc. Nothing you would have for a nice set dinner, but ok for a quick bite after a long working day.
The surrounding of the hotel is very good. There is the subway very close, as well as the Olympic Park, where you can go for a walk or jog.
On the negative side: there is no air condition in the rooms, so in summer it can get really hot. As the rooms are located 13th floor upwards, the windows by default can only be opened a bit. But if you go to reception and sign a paper, they give you the possibility to open it completely, which is very good for getting a fresh breeze during the night.
My overall rating would have been "Average", but the really friendly staff raised it to "Very Good". The staff is always extremely friendly, helpful and humorous, not matter if reception or restaurant. Even in very busy times they keep their friendliness.

The Four Points is a nice, reasonably priced place to stay in Munich. The interesting bit about it is the location in the now 40-year-old Olympic park surrounded by the venues of the Games and amid the repurposed Athlete's Village. The hotel is on the 13th - 15th floors of one such building and the views of the Olympic site are terrific, even if it's hard not to think about the tragedy of the murder of the Israel athletes having started just around the corner on Connollystrasse.

The hotel is clean, crisp and in good shape as a renovation wraps up. The Executive Rooms are particularly nice and definitely more spacious feeling than the Superior Rooms. The service is good and the breakfast downstairs is a nice, Euro buffet with a few hot dishes and all the usual cold stuff.

The UBahn is about five minutes walk. It's not obvious where it is from the entrance to the hotel, which is adjacent to a less than prepossessing parking structure.

During my most recent stay, I really felt the lack of air conditioning, although being 15 floors up definitely helps with finding a breeze. Nonetheless, AC would have been of great benefit on an August night. It wasn't an issue the other time I stayed here.

Room Tip: Go for an Executive Room if the prices difference isn't too great.

After a six hour trip from Paris, I was tired and needed a rest.

I arrived here at night, not too late, but late enough and let me just say, you feel as if you are going to be mugged while approaching this place. There is not lighting or proper signage to welcome you. Strangely enough, the lobby is brimming with wattage! I just feel as if they should put a light or two on outside so you can feel as if you have actually reached the right destination.
With that being said, Four points at Munich, gets a pretty average rating. The staff here is very helpful and nice. The actual hotel, which is the 12-15 floors of an apartment complex are pretty standard. The room that I stayed in, a double was a nice surprise. the bed was huge, the bedding and pillows were comfy and the bathroom was adequate.
The things that I didnt like were that they charge you 15 Euro per day to use the internet!!!! Shocking prices. I did not pay them of course, and sat right in the lobby where it is free. Also, they want you to pay 18 Euro for breakfast, another shock! I went right down the street to a little bakery and made off like a bandit with breakfast for less than 4 Euro. (The hotel is situated amongst a string of stores, which is helpful if you are trying to live in Europe on the cheap). Be advised that all stores with the exception for a chinese food store closes at 8pm and many shops are not open on Sunday. ( I am used to everything being open all the time as I come from a big city).
Things to know:
-Very very close to BMW welt, I am a big fan so it was helpful :)
-15 minutes to Marienplatz by way of U-bahn 3
-the actual stop for the hotel is on u-bahn 3 and it is called olyimpiazentrum. ( once off the train, look at the sign and walk toward the way of olyimpiazentrum, not BMW WELT OR OLYMPIAPARK, this will bring you closer to the actual hotel, otherwise you will do as I did and walked the long way).
Would visit again, if I was in Munich because it offered affordable lodgings and comfortable rooms with a helpful staff. Please turn on the lights though (I was a woman traveling alone).
