“I love this chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

These hotels are brilliant. Great value, modern (almost trendy) and the rooms are small but excellent. I don't think you can beat the value. I love the TV screens with the fire place video which they play in the winter - it really works to warm-up the place.

I've stayed at this one a few times and like the bar area. You'll need a taxi to many of the sites of interest, but you're not a long walk from the U-Bahn (underground).

If you do visit - you must try the curry cheese toasted sandwich - it's worth visiting for!

Room Tip: I wouldn't stress about a room choice - I think they're all pretty much identical.

Stayed hear for three nights. Rooms are very basic and small. No phone or alarm clock. However, my room was very clean. Breakfast area was vast and became quite busy by 0700. I would recommend eating earlier. However, Breakfast area was very clean and quality of food very good.

Although not luxurious, I found the stay to be good value.

we booked Motel One due to the shortage of available hotels brought by a book convention.the check-in was great, fast and hassle free.Service was good, staff were very nice and courteous. Lots of business travelers in the hotel. Breakfast selection is very good as well. the closest S Bahn stop is Rosenheimer Platz which is a 10 minute walk from hotel. if you have a luggage and traveling using the metro, this is troublesome. not much restaurants around the area. i understand that on the other side where Novotel and Holiday Inn is located, they have more choices and more restaurants.

Also, internet connection keeps on tripping. you need to get a password from the lobby and for the 5 nights we stayed here, we have gone down around 10 times to change password as our internet keeps on getting disconnected.

also, if you want to stay connected and ask someone to call you, this is not possible as they don't have a phone/landline inside the room. you also can not call housekeeping nor the lobby for help.

Overall, good value for money, but if i have to choose, i will book a hotel that is Farther from the center, yet closer to the metro. or better yet, book the hotels on the other side of the metro.

We stayed here for 5 nights during a 2 week trip to Europe. Motel One is a 'budget' hotel, but I thought it was very nice given that it's geared toward budget conscious travelers. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the continental breakfast was great! I like the modern decor which made it feel very up to date. The staff was very friendly with the exception of 1 front desk lady. They do give you a map when you check in (if you ask for it). During our stay, we either misplaced ours or left it in the room. Either way, we needed another one. When we asked the girl at the front desk, she was not friendly and acted almost like we were bothering her! We made sure to go when it was not busy with people checking in or out. But, aside from her, everyone was very nice and helpful, so perhaps she was just having a bad day.

I would stay here again, I felt it was a good price and a pleasant place.

To echo other reviews, the rooms are compact, but big enough for your needs, and the place as a whole is fresh, modern and in great condition. The showers are excellent, though the lack of soap in the bathrooms bothered my wife ("nobody here is washing their hands!") and none is available apart from shower gel.

Breakfast was surprisingly good - loads of choice and plenty of everything. Location-wise, the hotel is close enough to walk into the centre every time you want to go, and handy for the airport from Rosenheimer Platz station. Tip - the Afghan restaurant 'Chopin' just around the corner on the way into town is a gem.

We enjoyed our stay at Motel One. Rooms were new and clean, staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was convenient. However, the rooms are small (although this depends on your preference but we were fine with it and had enough room to store our luggage and clothes) and the hotel was quite busy.

It really depends on preference, but for us, the value for money, location and the rooms and customer service far outweighed the other factors and we would not hesitate to stay at Motel One again in the future.

Hotel is perfect! Can't say a bad word about it! Everything is new, clean and modern. Very close to the city centre. Great service and nice small rooms. Lovely showers! It is very good value for money! Bar & lobby area are very modern and great to relax in. Rooms are small, but it is all you need really. Staff are friendly and extremely helpfull. Perfect for a short city break!
