Very conveniently and centrally located, just around the corner from Marienplatz station, but not immediately obvious from pavement level. Friendly welcome and a quiet, stylish and comfortable room at the rear of the hotel, quiet that is when the church bells stopped! Actually, the sound of many different church bells nearby made for a very atmospheric few days. Breakfast was an out-of-the-box experience: an exquisite mix of western and oriental delights, attractively presented and an adventure for the taste buds. During the evening, the restaurant serves Japanese food - not to be missed. More traditional Bavarian fare is plentiful at the Viktualienmarkt opposite the hotel, a lovely spot to wander in the sunshine. The hotel is surrounded by many different and enticing stores so no problem finding gifts and it would take a long time to explore all the cultural attractions within a short U-Bahn ride. Would not hesitate to return if the exchange rate continues in the UK's favour.

we stayed at Louis last week for 3 nights. Combined business and pleasure trip. The hotel is new with very warm and nice decor. The service was excellent! Spotlessly clean! The deluxe room was very big and great for a very comfortable stay. We had a great sleep and we found the bed very comfortable. We were there early and early check in at 9 was arranged. Great lobby area with fire place and bar. The location was excellent and very convenient to explore Munich. The metro at the corner and across the street taxi spot. I would definitely recommend Louis and we would stay again. The breakfast was expensive so we decided to eat there the first morning and see if its worthy. Great quality cheeses, bread and croissant, however I did not see any hot eggs etc and although I love Japanese food, I did not like at all the Japanese part of the breakfast. I would say that it was poor in taste. The rest of the days we had breakfast out at places near the hotel. Anyway Louis hotel is a great hotel, with very polite staff ready to help with anything you need. My husband will be traveling for business there 2-3 times a year and we are planning to stay there again.

Ideal location - right in the center of Munich, close to Viktualienmarkt and Marienplatz. Quiet and comfortable rooms are well designed and well kitted out.The breakfast could seems a little bit expensive for those who didn't try it )) It's a great mix of Asian and European cuisine and healthy food.
Japanese restaurant is one of the best in Munich. Lobby bar is cosy and relaxing.
So - I'm regular guest from the very opening.

We booked based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. One entrance is just across the street from the market, the other entrance is within 1 block of Marienplatz which makes the hotel ideal for accessing public transportation.

The staff at the hotel was consistently friendly and helpful. We only ate one continental breakfast because buffet was too pricey and there were many options within steps of the hotel.

The room is quite large with an unusual arrangement. The room for the toilet is separate and right at the front door. The open window from the tub/shower was not an issue because of the shutter. The tub is quite deep which would make it difficult to use for someone with any mobility issues. Although the hotel is in a very busy area, there was no noise to disrupt sleeping. The windows opened so that we could enjoy the pleasant weather.

The only real negative for us was the very firm mattress and flat pillows. The linens were quite nice, but we had difficulty getting comfortable in the bed. I guess we are too accustomed to pillow-top mattresses in most US hotels.
