“Eurostars Grand Central really isn't that central, but it sure was comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

My friend and I stayed in Munich for 4 days and we decided to go with Eurostars Grand Central based on its rating and reviews. This is definitely a 4-Star Hotel. I was actually a bit surprised how far it was from the Marienplatz and city centre though. It is located right next to train stations, trams, buses, and Taxis are always available, but it took 15-20 minutes to access the historical sites and restaurants. But on the other hand, the staff was excellent! Very kind and spoke almost perfect English. The bar staff was also very friendly and accommodating. We had the same waiter for 3 nights and he was great! The breakfast buffet was glorious. It had a ton of food and beverage to choose from, so it was well worth the cost. The rooms themselves were spacious and clean. Beds were firm and comfortable. WiFi worked properly with no issues. I probably would not stay here again unless I'm in Munich on business, but I would definitely stay at a Eurostars hotel!

We selected the Eurostars Hotel due to its proximity to the main train station in Munich and stayed for 2 nights. Its price also includes breakfast and that's not easy to find in Munich, so it sold it for us.

The staff at reception were lovely to deal with and very friendly. They provided us with some recommendations of sights and we also received a voucher for some free drinks at the hotel bar, which was a great touch. Two of our friends had also arranged to ship their snowboarding equipment to the hotel about 10 days prior and the hotel had been really great about storing the luggage at no cost, until our arrival.

The rooms themselves are nicely appointed and quite spacious. They are modern but it would be nicer if they were carpeted instead of having wooden flooring as that would add further warmth to the room, but that is my personal preference. The bathroom area is also good, with plenty of space and good lighting. The shower is very nice, although the shampoo, shower gel and soap that are provided are quite small. The rooms are nice and quiet.

The breakfast is very good, with an excellent selection of warm and cold dishes. The hotel provides an indication of times when it can get very busy, so take note of those.

There is free wifi for throughout the hotel, but I did find the signal to be patchy and slow and this probably should be improved. I wanted to use the sauna, but it was closed, so I can't comment on what it is like.

All up, this is a good hotel and I'd choose to stay here again, if in Munich in the future.

I stayed in this hotel one night during a two day business conference. It is located very close to the S-bahn, which provides an easy and quick tansfer to the airport (€ 10 - 30 min. transfer). Note that a taxi drive from the airport lasts between 45-60 min. and will cost you €70-75! Single fare).
The rooms are large, modern and very clean. I found however the windows which give out to the Arnulfstrasse (tramway) not superbly soundproof. The bathroom was large and very well equipped. The room also has a deposit safe, airco, wifi and comfi bathropes.
Breakfast was very good: buffet-style, with lots of choice, incl. eggs.
The conference rooms were excellent and had excellent wifi. Bar and front-desk were excellent.
Conclusion: I had an excellent stay at this hotel.

Very accessible location, all what you need is just one step from hotel main door, train stations, car rental companies, trams and bus stop. Good breakfast many varieties. Excellent staff and very helpful, they speak good English. Strongly recommended for stopover.

This was an adequate hotel if considered 3 star, but definitely not 4 and definitely no more than adequate.

The service also left a lot to be desired - the staff at the reception are puppets who cannot handle complaints as there is no duty manager in the evening.

The restaurant staff really work hard but the chef needs to go on a time management course. 45 minutes for a steak that never arrived is ridiculous. Breakfast in the room whilst plentiful you do not get milk for the cereal. Dinner in the room great but no knife. This is amateurs trying to be what they are not. But do not blame the staff but perhaps the General Manager needs a career change.

If there is another hotel in central Munich that wants a 37 room booking with an average stay of 3 nights per room then do get in contact and is on the side of the Messe.

Be prepared as the decor is good but the service is poor. Time for the management to step up.

Relatively new hotel. Decor is bright, rooms are clean and generally everything works
Spacious one bed room suite for my family of three. Not that costly. Everyone felt comfortable.
Bathroom is modern and large
Free wifi available in the room and that's very convenient
Short walk to the S bahn, and there is small shopping centre next to the S bahn station with a mini mart. The Munich train station is nearby but walking is about 20 mins.
Besides that smallish shopping centre, there is not much around the hotel vicinity for meals.
But it's just a few tram stops to the old town and the main shopping/tourist areas.
Overall the hotel is comfortable and clean, and I think value for money

Organised conference at this hotel in October 2014! Confernence facilites are to be recommended, the rates were competitive however what made it stick out was the conference coordinator Maris. He was accomodating and never felt any request was too much! It was not difficult to get him which sometimes can be a problem with conferences.

Room upgrade was excellent, style of room was suite and I would highly recommend based on that.

Only negative is that the level of English from staff was not always up to par, most staff also speak German and/or Spanish (Spanish hotel chain). There was no conceirege at the hotel which is no problem however in that case the reception staff should be able to help with any questions on places however this really let them down ...

Overall - recommend for both conference and pleasure trip! Only a short ride to centre with tram right outside the door.
