“Good hotel, but .....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2011

First of all, the hotel looks great. It is obvious that the hotel is opened with 3 years ago. Rooms are medium to big, the bathroom is huge, furniture is new. It is a very very clean hotel and this is a big plus.
BUT:
Internet wireless conection is poor, is necessary to run inside - outside of the room to have signal.
The breakfast is ok, I give them a 7 to 8. But it is a big, big issue to find free tables. The staff is not very careffuly to clean tables and it was necesary to clean myself in 3 different days the table. Unacceptable ! They are very comfortable to look at the turist who clean tables, the question is 'where are the managers ???"
The resturnat prices are in the sky, portions are extremely small. This is not Burj al Arab guys !
They are not opened to accept early booking or late checkout. My impresion was that they prefer to keep rooms free and not to give it to the turists earlyear.
I do recomand this hotel but some thing must be changed.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Eurostars Grand Central for a couple of days and we have only good things to say about it. The hotel is (or at least seems) to be almost brand new, the bedroom was great and so was the bathroom. We stayed in the fifth and last floor and enjoyed using the wonderful indoor pool and the great sauna -- they provided complementary robres, slippers and towels.

Free internet with a couple of computers at the entrance hall, very helpful and friendly staff that tried their best to help us -- we even had to request an extension of a couple of hours on our check-out time, which they handled instantly and with a smile.

The location is great, just off from Hackerbrücke train station (very close to Hauptbanhof) and in a quiet and nice neighbourhood.

We didn't take the breakfast at the hotel, so can't comment on that, but all in all it was a great place and I'm glad we stayed there. Five stars staff, spoke english, german and spanish (at least)!!

Room Tip: The staff seems to have taken into account all our requests present in the reservation comments. So...

We stayed here for three nights between the 22nd and 25th July and we loved it! The hotel is very well situated next to tram stop 16 and 17 which will take you to Karlsplatz (entrance to the shopping area) within 5 minutes or the Haufbrauhof within 3 minutes. Use the metro at Karlsplatz to get to the Olympic stadium area and BMW Welt which is just an amazing place to visit. Also in the Karlplatz metro you will find lots of traditional places to grab a quick snack, btatwurst, currywurst, brezel etc...lovely!! The hotel was very clean, quiet and spacious. The bathroom was lovely with a fantastic shower and subtle lighting. As for the bed it was huge and so comfortable that we slept in every morning til about 11.00 am. The bar was a very pleasant place to end an evening with friendly staff, one of whom we thought looked like Michael Schumacher and he was very fast at serving! When we arrived our fridge wasn't working but the staff were fast and efficient at resolving the issue. Negative things? One of the maids slammed doors very early every morning until my husband got up and asked her not to and there are only two English tv channels and they are both news channels, a English speaking movie channel would be most welcome, also the housekeepers are not very good at replacing teabags, spoons etc in the room and we had to keep asking for fresh supplies.. We have been to Munich before and we love it, when we return as we will we will certainly stay at this fantastic hotel once more.

This hotel was a disaster! We stayed at the Eurostars in Berlin and loved it, but this property did not even begin to compare. We arrived early and even though it was too soon, we asked them to go ahead and make sure we had a room. When we returned to the hotel, we were given a room with two twin beds. We had requested a King. When we went downstairs to discuss this with the clerk, we were told that there were no Kings available because a large tour group arrived, and we checked in too late. This irked us as we were there at 11am!!!! The twin bed room was horrific! There was a drip in the room that was intolerable. When we asked if we could change rooms, the only option was a smoking room. It was vile and dirty. We were so miserable that we cut our trip to Munich short and spent almost $1000 to fly to London a day early. Additionally, the location was AWFUL! Although a train station was within walking distance, the hotel was in a business park that had NO RESTAURANTS, no shopping, or any other activities. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!

Great new, modern hotel- super king sizebed, bathroom, pool, sauna, little extras, robes and slippers- quiet, close to transport- wished we had more than one night. Don't worry about the comments re the glass screen to the bathroom- some people must complain about something!

This hotel was a great find - I say this because although its 5km or so from the very heart of the CBD, it has incredible access to public transport. The tram is just outside the front door which takes you via several stops into town or you can walk around the corner to the train station and it's then two stops to central - or connect and head elsewhere in Europe. The new modern bus terminus sits on top of the train station. It has grocery, bakery and cafes inside. So as you can invisage, it has great public transport facilities. The hotel itself is a few years old - with very minimalistic in decor and well appointed -about 4 star - which is good by European standards. We rented two rooms for the four of us. We were offered free internet (but bring your own internet cable - no wireless avalable). An added bonus for our family was the full "American" buffet breakfast included in the price. If we head back to Munich I will definitely book this hotel again.

Room Tip: We booked on hotels.com and had breakfast included in the package. There was no wireless internet...

I don't really understand the good reviews of this hotel. Yes it's clean and modern but the service is just horrible.
First night I've waited forever for my room service, despite of my few calls, they finally told me that the kitchen was closed and they forgot my order... I put the paper on my door to order breakfast, but same thing, it never came.
Wifi doesn't work in most of the room so you have to get a cable they didn't even bring you to the room. Same with iron table which was all broken and burn.
People at the reception are nice but it takes forever to check in and out.
