“Convenient comfortable hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Clean, bright with colorful art decorating the public spaces. Very close to main train station so very convenient for public transport. Stayed here for short break for Christmas market and sightseeing. Pleasant reception even though we arrived very late at night. Smallish room for the three of house but very nice bathroom and shower. Real feather duvets and pillows. Traffic a bit noisy but we were three floors up so not a problem to have window open. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: High floors away from traffic noise

Stayed in a triple room when visiting the Christmas markets Dec 2014. All the staff were very helpful and the hotel itself was lovely with lots of interesting sculptures dotted about. Room was great, plenty of room and clean. Very handy as so close to the markets and the main train station. Would stay again if visiting Munich. Oh yes..great breakfast!

Only a few minutes walk from the main railway station, and maybe 15 minutes walk from the Marienplatz and the main tourist part of town. The Arthotel isn't in the most attractive of locations itself, but it is an easy walk into the centre and but it is a friendly place, staff are helpful, decor is interesting, really big rooms and bathrooms, and a good buffet breakfast included.

It's also only a few minutes walk from Therisienwiese, where there is a big marketplace at Christmas time. Well recommended if you want a decent hotel and don't want to pay top dollar to stay right in the old part of town, but want to be close

Stayed at the Arthotel for 3 nights in December 2014 on a visit for Christmas Markets and Shopping..
5 mins from Hauptbahnhof (Main Railway Station) and 10 min walk from excellent shopping Centres. Room reasonably small but warm and lovely comfy bed. Plain reception but excellent service. Small convenient Bar but waited 5 mins for a not so happy Barman to appear.
Overall would stay here agin if visiting Munich. Bit overpriced for standard of accomodation.

Room Tip: Stay in main Hotel not Annex. We were in Room 119 which was very quiet.

Hotel is located just two three hundred meters to central station. There are few restaurants and bars closed to hotel. breakfast was very good. Hotel staff in reception and restaurant are very helpful and friendly. very clean bed and bath. Rooms are large enough. we were there for a business trip and hotel was more convenient for us due to we spent just few hours hotel. There were very nice paintings on hotel walls inside. if you like them you can buy.

Room Tip: i stayed at second level which was so silent. it was backside of hotel not street view.

The first thing I noticed at this place was that the unusual smallness of the reception area. The bar, desk and the lounge was all sharing a small place, in which it was hard to move around, especially with a pushchair.

However, my prejudice was gone at the moment that I saw the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. They seemed like they were recently renovated with new material. Bed sheets and towels were no exception and the portable baby cot they provided had a good quality. Our daughter must have liked it much, as she spent a couple of hours in it playing after we put her in it as soon as we arrived.

Sleep quality was excellent, as I noticed that the windows were well isolated. They completely prevent the noise from the street and heat loss.

The design of the rooms had included some pop-art items and all the front doors of the rooms were decorated with pop-art pictures.

We very much liked the breakfast as it was very rich. They had 8-10 varieties of bread, fruit juices, coffee, tea, milk, cereals, a couple of egg varieties, cheeses and processed meat varieties. So, there was basically something for everyone.

Other than that, staff was very helpful, smiling all the time. It was easy to reach to S-bahn and U-bahn, as the location of the hotel is so close to the main train station and the city center.

One more thing we liked about the place: they lent us a little water boiler to use in our room, which was very helpful in preparing our daughter's formulas.

I would definitely stay at this place again and recommend it to my friends.

I travelled to a few different cities this summer, and of all the hotels I stayed in, this was by far the best.

Hotel is in a perfect location for those travelling by train, but unlike a lot of other 3-star city centre hotels, the room was clean, spacious and modern. Breakfast was good and no issues with the service. Would definitely stay there again.
