“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

Stayed recently for two nights in November. The single room I stayed in is small but adequate for one person. The toilet was equiped with a long bath. The toilet was almost the size of the room. There is heating but no air-conditining and the room was quiet fromtraffic noise since it faced the back. The rooom and toilet was clean. The room has the usual TV, free wireless internet, a small safe and minibar. Breakfast was included and was served buffet style. There were lots of things to eat and plenty of choice of food. The wait staff was friendly and kept refilling the coffee in my cup and the food at the buffet. The reception staff had good english skills and the hotel offered free storage of luggage. The hotel is housed in an old building refurbished in a modern boutique style. It is located just off Bayerstrasse a a short 5 minute walk to the mian train station with convenient connectionsto all parts of the city by S, Ubahn and trams. The hotel is good value for the price I paid.

We recently stayed here for 2 days as a short break to Munich in late October. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very well fitted. As a family of three you normally have a small bed for my son, he had a double to himself. Soap and shower gel were provided in very snazzy containers, with complimentary toothpicks, nail files, shoe brush and shoe horn alongside other niknaks provided. The hotel was located close to train station and U Bahn ( essential if are planning visiting The B.M.W Musem etc ) and very quite due to the double glazing. Breakfast was self serve with a wide variety to choose from and we did not feel embarassed to go back and refill our plates, endless amounts of tea and coffee available with staff actively refilling our cups at the table. Staff at the reception and bar were very good with excellent english skills and helped us with our planned city visits, which U Bahn line we needed to catch, where to change lines and which stations to get off. Check out is at 11.00am and you can leave your luggage there all day in a secure locked room so no dragging heavy bags round whilst sight seeing. I am an artist and there was artwork around the hotel for sale, hence the name of the hotel. This is a modern contemporary hotel with a boutique feel to it where the guest is not paying a price premimium for what should be norm in British Hotels.

Really nice hotel,
Hotel Staff friendly and spoke good English.
Loved the decor of the hotel its really quirky.Room nice and clean, Breakfast good, lots of variety and they keep pouring your coffee until you say no.
I would recommend it and I would certainly stay there again
Very well situated, 5 mins from main rail station and 15 mins from the Main square. Checkout the Town Hall Glockenspiel its lovely
A visit to the Olympia park is very interesting and the lift to the top of the tower is a must.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back so it was nice and quiet

I recently stayed at this hotel on my way home from a tour of Bavaria, the rooms were clean and bright and the breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and fresh coffee, had a bit of a "diner" feel to it. It was buffet style and you could help yourself to all or any of what was on offer. The staff were pleasant and continualy cleared tables and replenished the food stocks.
It was a good 15/20 mins walk from the centre and all the attracions.

I have stayed in better hotels but have had to pay a lot more, this was good value for money and I would stay there again.

We stayed at Arthotel at the end of our one week tour of munich, garmisch, innsbruck, and Salzburg. The arthotel was my least favorite place where we stayed at. The rooms and bathrooms were just okay, white walls, nothing memorable. I had to search my email to remember the name of this hotel which goes to show that it really is not memorable. The only thing I liked was the gummi bears the hotel left on my pillow. (though white plastic package didn't look like it contained gummi bears but something else ...)

I didnt quite care for the Art Hotel. Highlight... breakfast was no bad. Low point -- NO A/C unit in the entire hotel. Terrible internet service. The reason I chose this hotel was to get closer to Oktoberfest but it just wasnt worth the heat. They do give you a small fan but it is impossible to cool down a room with one small desk fan. I had to request two fans as well as open the windows for some air. The problem with opening the windows is that you can hear all traffic. If you decide to stay at this hotel then I recommend staying on the first or second floor. Heat rises up. I was on the 4th floor and it was just awful. I felt like I couldnt breathe. So I requested a room on the first floor which was a little better. Also there is nothing artsy about this hotel. The rooms are so bland... just white walls to look at. I would recommend staying at a 4 star or more hotel that is near central station. Hotels near central station is not that far from Oktoberfest. I only adds maybe another 7 minutes to your walk to Oktoberfest grounds. Also, there was a smell on the 4th floor but once I moved to the 1st floor I didnt smell the stinch. The beds are not comfortable and there is no such thing as a king size bed. The best they can do is put two twin beds together for you. Dont expect the 300 count sheets.. there is none.

Very easy to access from the main train station and connection to the airport. Stayed four nights and the room was clean and quiet for a city centre hotel. Would have liked airconditioning in the bedroom though. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Good selection of food for breakfast. Great beer garden in easy walking distance.
