“overwelming place to visit, even in the summer !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

When we visited Garmisch in the late summer, we took a look at this historical place. I've seen it many times on TV for the winter season Ski jump competition. So it's a bit strange to see it during summer but never the less ... impressed by it. Go and take a look.... it's HUGE !

“fascinating glimpse behind the scenes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We joined a guided tour of the Olympiaschanze, which took two hours and included access to the judges' building and the very top of the jumping tower. The guide was excellent, she was very knowledgeable and able to convey her enthusiasm for the sport. It was a buzz, and I came away with heightened respect for the ski jumpers. The weather was wet and cold during our tour, but that didn't really detract from the experience.

“Olympic History”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

Nice to visit the 1936 olympic ski jump site. Walked around for a time and took photos of the two jumps and the small stadium.
