We stayed a couple of nights on a car tour of the region. Housed in a very pretty looking traditional building. We were luck enough to be able to park our car for free on the main road outside the hotel but be warned that spaces are limited - in which case you'll need to pay for parking in the hotel's underground space (but which you'll need to arrange with the hotel at check-in rather than just being able to use it whenever necessary).
We had two rooms facing the main road which were fine for our purpose - reasonably spacious, clean and with a good shower.Beware though that if you keep the windows open (which we did given that the weather was warm and there's no aircon) you'll be disturbed by vehicle noise starting from around 7 am in the morning (refuse trucks and trucks delivering supplies to the hotel, etc). You'll also get to hear a small herd of cows with bells ringing merrily being led to pastures at around 6 am in the morning - apparently the main herd stays on the hills the whole summer but pregnant cows are brought back to barns every night. If you do want a peaceful night's sleep you should consider booking a room on the side facing away from the main road (which I think means requesting a south-facing room) - I didn't see these rooms but saw pictures in the hotel's brochure - they looked very nice with good views of the surrounding mountains.
The hotel is situated in the Partenkirchen part of town - which we preferred as it had a nice Alpine village feel to it but was at the same time just a few minutes walk from the very picturesque Ludwigstrasse (with some very nice reasonably priced restaurant).
Breakfast was fine - good selection of breads, cold cuts, cheeses and spreads; boiled eggs, etc. We didn't sample dinner (the restaurant wasn't open on one night) but some nice dining options within a few minutes walk away (including an Indian restaurant (!!) just opposite)
One point to note is that the reception desk is only manned from 8 am to 6 pm - if you're going to arrive after 6 pm you'll need to alert the hotel beforehand. Reception and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly (we don't speak any German). Also note that the hotel doesn't provide wi-fi - apparently the hotel is a wi-fi hotspot location for a plan offered by one of the telcos but you'll need to subscribe for this directly with the telco (nothing to do with the hotel).
