My husband and I really enjoyed Maxbrau, not only for the food and beer, but also for the experience. The ambiance is cozy, Bavarian, yet modern, with big windows. We sat at the bar, and we got on quite well with the different bartenders. They were friendly and accommodating with our lack of Bavarian German. We stayed until closing both nights, having had our fill of the delicious beer. It was one of the few places that was open late, and that we didn't feel totally weird for getting a little tipsy. We started with the cheese plate, and for dinner, I had the spinach spatzle , and my husband had a crusted pork dish. Both were delicious.
