The hotel has a good location near the city centre and it is very silent - no traffic noise.
We had breakfast buffet and dinner included and we could choose our dinner (4 course) out of 3 possible foods for 3 courses. There was always something, that we liked :-)
Our room had two balconies and was very nice and big. The matress was very comfy and we had a good night sleep. As a welcome gift, there was a big bottle of Sekt in the fridge! The in-house sauna is very nice, but the pool is quite small and the air temperature is cold.
The fitness room is well equipped with units, that made it easy to workout.
As a good-bye gift we got a nice glass mug with 3 Mozart Kugeln :-)
All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and we would go there anytime again!

This was the first hotel we stayed in in Germany that we had not pre-booked from home. On the road, we had looked on the tripadvisor reviews and figured we would stay here if we made it as far as Bad Reichenhall. It was dark and raining when we arrived. We saved 33 euro by booking on line from outside in the parking lot. The room was fine, the bed and was fine. The nearly 6’ long bathtub was build up about 6” above the floor. I found this difficult to use and believed that under some circumstances might even be dangerous. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and the complimentary breakfast. Both were fine. There was a large fee for wifi (which we did not use) and a 6 euro charge for parking. For us, the entire experience was just so so. The sun was out the next morning, so we checked out early.

It took us a little while to locate the driveway entrance to the hotel, my GPS didn't locate it too well, so we went on a merry go round around the block 3 times before a nice neighbor directed us to lookout for the signs. The rooms are clean and the surrounding is peaceful with a friendly neighborhood. The train station is just across the road and a great restaurant lies just 2 blocks away. Parking is conveniently located in the basement or you can also choose to parked it along the driveway (however lots are limited). Next to the train station is a convenience store, if you need to pick up anything.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better view of the mountains. Get a room that faces the front of the hotel for t...

We (parents and one 5-year old child) staid in this hotel for one night in August 2012. The room as well as the bathroom are spacious and clean. The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the pedestrian area of Bad Reichenhall and close to the railway station. The restaurants serves nice food for fair prices and the breakfast is very rich. The staff is nice and professional. The hotel owes a small nice swimming pool which especially children will enjoy. The hotel is served by free WiFi in all rooms. We can only reccommend this nice hotel. Berchtesgarden and Eagels Nest are easily reached by a 20-30minutes drive.

After a stay at the Amber Residenz Bavaria, i was quite impressed about the hotel at my first impression. But after a couple of days, it shows that there is 1 star to much at the entry door.
Service could be improved. One day no towels in the room anymore, anotherday no drinks available anymore, next day salad was gone.
The 2 Restaurants are very good if not excellent. Also the Fitness Center has the newest equipment. The Pool is very small and also the sauna is brand new (but only 65°C)

One of the best I've ever stayed at. Great stuff, very friendly, extremely big room (comfort double), fantastic mountain view. The hotel has its own garden around, very quiet place, birds sing and no traffic noise. Breakfast is rich and delicious, dinners are great too. Location is very close to the train station and just 5 minutes to the city center, 15 minutes to Rupertus Thermes. Will stay here again next time.
