We stayed at Krehl's Linde for two days at the end of April. We were visiting the area to attend the Cannstatter Volksfest and see other area attractions. Since this was our first trip to Europe, we made it a point to stay in smaller hotels with a little personality. That's definitely what we got with the Krehl's Linde. It was only a few S-bahn stops from the main station and a few minutes walk from there. The location was in more of a neighborhood which was kind of nice after a day of downtown activity. The facility is cute, well-maintained, not perfect, but definitely has a charming quality. We had adequate space in our room and the many windows made the room bright and cheery. The breakfast had a pretty decent spread, and the staff very pleasant. We didn't dine at the restaurant, but did sit outside on the patio to enjoy some wine and the trio of desserts...a great end to a day of sightseeing. All in all, we had a nice stay. It's not a plush, fancy resort, but a nice, clean, friendly and interesting place to visit. We wouldn't hesistate to stay there again. It was a nice start to our first few days in Europe.
