“Nice Modern Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

Very nice nice modern hotel located steps from Mercedes Benz arena as well as Porsche Arena. Location is also very close to Mercedes Benz Museum and a short drive to Porsche Museum. Rooms are nicely appointed, much better than typical Hilton Garden Inn in the US or Canada. I would highly recommend based on very reasonable pricing.

Within walking distance of the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The room had a spa-like bathroom, free wifi and was relatively large with a decent view. The hotel is located away from the city center but there are transportation options close by.

This is a great hotel, clean large rooms, free wifi and great breakfast. The rooms are well equiped and quiet, and have a nice working space to connect the laptop and work comfortably.
Although it is located a little far away from the city centre, it has two S-bahn stations nearby.
the breakfast was good and with lot of stuff.
It is definitely a hotel i will stay in again.

Really good Hotel choice in Stuttgart. Walking distance (or inside) cool attractions if you're into sports, or with kids. Actually, my hisband and I are not at all into sports and loved our stay.
Hotel has a convenient and unexpensive snack machine, where you can grab a bite if don't have time to go anywhere else or if (like us) you arrive very late at night.
Also, cool and convenient is the Palm Beach Sportsbar & Restaurant, just outside the hotel, with vibrant atmosphere, and open until late.
Rooms are pleasant and clean and service is always helpful and friendly.

Stayed for a few days in Stuttgart and really enjoyed the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a very large selection of warm and cold food. The room was comfortable and large enough. Fitness Center is modern.
Location is good for a soccer game or concert in Hans-Martin-Schleyer-Halle but a bit of a walk or tram ride to the city center.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
I would recommend to park on the road outside.

Very comfortable bed and pillow, quiet room, excellent food in the restaurant. Staff were very helpful also. Nice large shower area, didn't feel claustophobic. Windows also opened for fresh air, altough the aircon was perfectly adequate.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

We stayed here two nights at the beginning and end of our trip. The first stay was better than the second. We arrived very early just after 10 am, and they had Room 319 ready in less than 20 minutes. On our second stay, since I knew the layout, I chose top floor Room 420 from the short list on the online check in. I would have chosen Room 220 had I known about the 4th floor smoking policy. It was not labeled as a smoking room and may not have been one, but all of the smoking rooms in this hotel (there shouldn’t be any in any hotel) were on the 4th floor. We didn’t arrive until about 17h30 (5:30 pm) and we prepared for our departure the next morning. Once we returned from dinner, it became more and more obvious that someone had smoked in this room very recently. I called down to the front desk and was told that the smoking rooms were on the 1st floor and offered a different room, but we were tired and had everything ready for our quick departure the next morning for the airport. When we checked out, I told a different person about the smoke issue, and she said that the 4th floor was where the smoking rooms were located and again apologized for the misunderstanding. There is a cigarette machine as you enter the restaurant area and a large ashtray on the 4th floor by the elevator, which I didn’t notice until the last time we were there.
Both rooms were similar (actually a mirror image of each other). Upon entry you have to put your key in the slot so that the lights work. Actually, the tv and the light on the desk by the tv are independent of the main switch so they work without the key in the slot. Directly in the room is a closet with a much appreciated safe. The bathroom is off to the side (left in 420, right in 319). There was no tub, and the shower only had a half door. You had to be careful not to shoot water (or reflect water off your body) on the bathroom floor. There was a sink and a toilet as well. Only 2 large towels were provided, and they were just average-not too soft and fluffy. Soap, shampoo, and the usual creams were provided. In the main part of the room was the king sized bed on one side, the tv/desk with lamp in the middle by the window, and a sofa area on the other wall with a cabinet against the wall. A small refrigerator was under the tv, and a microwave was under the cabinet area. There was an ice bucket, and the ice machine was just down the hall on each floor. The room was comfortable and actually very nice except for the nasty smell in Room 420. Both rooms had a circular window for the largest wall. We were on the end that faced Mercedesstrasse.
The restaurant was between the 3rd and 4th floors on the other end of the floor. In the morning, you ate on the right side as you entered. Because of our status, we received free breakfast each time. I think it may be quite pricey if you have to pay for it! They have very good moist bacon, lots of sausage types, breads, cheeses, scrambled eggs, and more. They will also make eggs to order and omelets. I had over medium eggs (5 the first time and 4 the second time). We ate in the left side of the restaurant for dinner the second time. The Jaga schnitzel is very good with a creamy mushroom service. A large beer (.5 l, I think) was 4 euro. I had two. We are supposed to receive 500 bonus points for spending more than 20 euro. We will see when/if that happens! The food was decent but not spectacular. I had better schnitzel in Frankfort at the Paulaner restaurant by the big church. Breakfast was outstanding for a protein lover like me.
The biggest negative about this hotel is the location, even more so than the smoking. Unless you have business/sports activity in the neighborhood, this is not the place to stay to see Stuttgart. From the airport, take the S2 or S3 to Bad Constadt. From there go downstairs and head for the exit that indicates Bus. Once at the exit, head left about 30 yards/meters to the sign with the big H that is circled. A lighted sign will tell you when the next 56 bus is to arrive. It’s only 2 or 3 stops to the hotel but about a mile walk. We had to walk it a few times because the buses weren’t running a few days while they were doing road work in between the hotel and train station. It’s a hike, especially in a light, cold rain! The bus stop is just across the street when arriving at the hotel and then about 200 y/m in the direction of the train station from the hotel when you go back to the train. The return bus stop is just across from the entrance so there should be no confusion on that end. When we returned to the airport the last day, the bus driver only charged us 2,60 euro, but I think it should have been 3,60 euro. Fortunately, we didn’t get asked for our ticket on the train. I am not 100% sure but ask so you don’t take the chance of getting fined for having the wrong ticket!
In summary, stay here if you have some reason to be in the area. Everyone on the staff was very friendly, and they went out of their way to be helpful. The room was good except for the shower set up (and the smoking on the 4th floor). I am giving this hotel a 4 because of the location, shower arrangement, and because of the smoking rooms. If you could move this hotel closer to a train or tram stop and make it 100% smoke free, it could be a 5. Stuttgart was an interesting city, but I would only return if I get another great airfare to Stuttgart and need a place to stay once I arrive. Hilton needs more choices in the area!

Room Tip: Avoid the 4th floor
