“Pleasant Surprise!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

There are negative and positive aspects about staying in this hotel. I stayed here for a study trip for my University..

Positives

1) Location on the hotel is extremely convenient.. I short walk away for the train station and the main shopping street..

2) Check in was relatively quick given the fact that we have 50 people inside our group..

3) The lobby was relatively huge and slick for a budget hotel and there was an outdoor terrace for people to drink and smoke.. A pleasant surprise given the fact that it is a 'motel'..

4) The room and is extremely clean and has a luxurious feel.. Despite the small size..

The Negatives

1) Price is quite expensive for a small room, or is it because my school put 2 people and there are different prices for the number of people inside the room.. as stated in the booking website.. This comes to my next comment..

2) The booking policies doesn't make sense since they charge different prices which depends on the number of people inside the room.. Given the fact that all the beds in the hotel are queen size or double bed..

3) Breakfast choices are not adequate, but I wouldn't expect much for a 'motel'..

Overall, I would recommend people to stay in this hotel.. This hotel doesn't deserve to be called a motel.. I would rather call it a hotel..

If booking policies are reasonable.. I would have rated this hotel 5 stars.. Right now, I will stick to 4 stars!!

Room Tip: Remember that this motel have only queen or double beds.. just remember to put only person each time...

We are staying a full week in Wiesbaden Motel One and wanted to visite friends in Stuttgart. I made several phone calls from the US, but Motel One Stuttgart/ train station did not want to make a booking for just one night in November. I was advised, that weekend bookings in November/December require a 2 night booking on the weekends. I told them, that I stay at their Motel One in Wiesbaden for a whole week. Well their policy was more important as customer service.
This is just one location. We are very happy with Motel One in Wiesbaden. They are super helpful and really cater to your needs. Too bad Stuttgart did not adopt this policy

I like the concept of Motel One. No frills, but efficient, reasonably priced, clean, friendly service and a good location.
Stuttgart Haubtbahnhof is a few meters away from the shopping areas and restaurants, surrounded by (not so cheap) parkings, and the station (obviously). Rooms are small and basic, but nicely decorated, very clean and quiet. Bathroom might have been slightly larger though.
Not what I would call a romantic hotel, but for a short stop-over it is just perfect.

My four night stay in this hotel was entirely satisfactory. The hotel is located right by one of the escalators coming up from one of the underground platforms of the train / S-Bahn / U-Bahn. It's a perfect location for anyone who arrives in Stuttgart by train. It's also a great location for anyone who wants to go shopping because it is just one street over from the start of the pedestrian-only zone.
The hotel is new and ultramodern. As other reviewers noted, the rooms can be a bit cramped for space. If you have more than one suitcase, you will be hard pressed to find anywhere to store that second suitcase, In my room, there were no drawers or closets for clothes, just a few open shelves and some very short rods to hold up the 6 coat hangers provided by the hotel. Similarly, you won't find a lot of space in the bathroom for your toiletries. You need to be neat and organized. This is not a hotel room where you can leave your belongings scattered around.
The room itself was very functional and provided everything you might expect, except for a telephone. But everyone has a cellphone, don't they? Speaking of which, there is no electricity in the room unless your door entry card is inserted in a slot by the door. This rather interfered with my plan to leave my cellphone recharging while I went out for a few hours.
The staff at the reception desk and bar were uniformly friendly and helpful. The food provided at the buffet breakfast was good. I really appreciated that there were four separate machines which ground the beans and delivered freshly made coffee. It was pretty good coffee too. I also appreciated finding fresh croissants included with the breakfast choices. They were hard to resist.
Given the reasonable rates for staying in a central city location, this hotel represented excellent value for money. I would happily stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher floors are away from street level noise.

The hotel is relatively new (I understand). The decor is clean and sleek, with plenty of seating in the lobby - with it's 24-hour bar! Most welcome after a day around the city. It's proximity to the Hauptbahnhoff is excellent - a five minute walk from the station, but far enough away to be quiet.
It's position in the city is superb. On a quiet street, you're not bothered by noise, but only steps away from the main shopping street and other attractions.
Our room was small, but clean and well appointed, with a GREAT bathroom - at last a hotel shower that works properly!
We had a few problems on our stay (visit to hospital, armed police raid on hotel), but still managed to have a great time, thanks to the extremely helpful hotel staff.
It's not massively luxurious, but you're not paying for that. We're cetainly looking at others in this chain for further stays in Germany. Thanks guys

As we arrived, protests (over the new train station) being conducted at the corner, taxi driver could not bring us to the hotel entrance. Police stopping all traffic in the area. Hotel location excellent. Hotel lobby adequate (often during slow times, bartender appeared to act as counter check in rep.) Staff were friendly & helpful. It appeared the inside garden filled up with a younger group each evening for socializing and drinking (not sure they were registered guests).
Rooms were small, no phones, wake up only by programing TV to turn on at desired time or picking up alarm clock at front desk. Extremely small desk with hassock. No facial tissues in rooms (due to our schedule, we stayed in two different rooms with the amenities the same). No spare pillows, no spare blankets. When one enters room, appears there is no electricity, however room key acts as electric turn on for lights with a special slot next to the light switch. Very little counter space in bathroom (due to oversized sink bowl). Only soap was twist off bottles of combination hair/body liquids. Breakfast (7.95 Euros extra/person) was typical German with cold meat cuts, cheeses, croissants, cold cereals, Yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, hot & cold liquids & good selection of jellies. No gift shop to purchase sundries (toiletries, papers, snacks, etc.). Front of hotel curb & sidewalk was used as a spare parking lot for select vehicles. Construction being done on front door street. Bargain basement hotel with low prices and few amenities, probably fine for business crowd.

Room Tip: Call the hotel to ask if there is any construction being performed near by. We have found this bein...

The hotel is new, and hence the environment quite modern. When u arrive from Hauptbahnhof (Main train station), you could connect directly from the platform via the S-Bahn platform, as the exit to Lautenschlager Strasse is right next door to the hotel entrance.

Most of the rooms are rather small, but very functional. Shower is strong and hot. pillows of good quality, windows open, beds nice and not too soft. The room has little space for your stuff, and if you have two large suitcases, u may struggle to find space to put them down open.

Staff is however very helpful, although the lack of a phone in your room, means that you need to go downstairs for everything, or use your mobile to call.

Internet is free and speedy. Did not try the breakfast menu, as it looked rather limited, but it would probably do the trick if needed.

Room Tip: The neighboring building, south west is undergoing some renovation. So ask for a room away from that...
