“Comfortable hotel but staff could be friendlier.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

I had booked a Superior room on Advanced Pay rate, and a few days after booking, I received an offer which would have been a few euros cheaper for a higher category of room, coupled with the ability to buy breakfast at a 25% discount on arrival at the hotel.
Upon arrival, we had to wait about 15 minutes to check in, as there were only two members of staff on the reception. I inquired if we could purchase breakfast at the discount price, and was gruffly told no, that is only for customers on the special rate (therefore if you see a rate with the discount offer, book that as otherwise you won’t get the chance).
Our room was comfortable and well presented, with a very modern bathroom, on the fifth floor near the Zeppelin Spa. The spa facilities are modern and well maintained, and are a great place to relax – facilities include a pool, steam room and sauna.
The breakfast buffet is excellent, albeit expensive (see comment above) at EUR 25 per head if it is not in your room rate. There is a wide selection, and it is regularly refreshed. The only criticism is that we were shown to a table which had not been cleared, so we had to wait whilst it was ‘refreshed’, however we had to ask for it to be redone as the tablecloth had a stain and one of the cups was dirty.
There is a car park under the Hotel, it is a public car park but the hotel has a private section with access to the lobby – the automatically opening doors are a major bonus when carrying luggage! You can leave your car at the entrance and let the porter park for you, but I prefer to park myself. The charge is EUR 20 per night which isn’t too bad for city central parking.
We ate in the Hotel one night, we were seated in Zeppelinos but chose a Swabian meal from the Zeppelin Stuble menu (the kitchen is the same for both). The service was friendly, even though it was quite empty, presumably because it is at the higher end of the price scale.

The hotel is conveniently situated directly opposite the main train station and in close proximity to the main shopping and tourist areas. The staff are very friendly and super efficient. The hotel has a wonderful pool and spa. This hotel is a great base for exploring Stuttgart. Room was clean and comfortable.

I did not like the hotel overall .
I stayed one night .The hotel is close to the main train station and shopping street(konigstrasse).
Room was big enough but from the entrance of it there was an unpleasant odor , perhaps originating from the bath. (pipes?,bathtube?,?...)
and could never use the internet.it was very very very very...slow.

This hotel is post-70's moderne in heart of Stuttgart. We stayed here for 3 days.. My wife and I arrived at Stuttgart airport - and we went through customs and baggage with no delays. The hotel driver was waiting right in front of baggage claim. Very efficient start to a trip. Due to the long airflight, my wife hurt her back which resulted in painful back spasms. This was not good. We get to the hotel - and everyone from the doorman, to the bellman, to receptionist, the front office manager, the barman, and the waitpersons in the restaurant did everything possible to help us. Someone even found an old fashioned hot water bottle. So over a 3 day period, we refilled the hot water bottle, She recovered. During our stay we ate in the restaurant, used the gym, had room service, a few cigars for me in the cigar lounge. All great! I can't say enough about the staff. The people make the hospitality not the buidlng. JMG

Room Tip: select room facing the main roadway and the train station. don't worry about noise. it's qui...

We loved this property. I traveled here with my wife and 9 year old girl. Our room was big and perfect for us, including the very comfortable roll away. Because the room was basically oversized, our daughter was able to make her own little space for the bed. The rooms / bathroom were extremely nice for the price, better than a Marriott, for example.

Location is right across from the main train station, but not at all noise in our room. This also happens to be right in one of the best, most interesting areas to walk around in. There is a huge food market nearby.

From this property, we very easily visited one of the thermal baths (public and not expensive) a short subway ride from the property.

Sauna and pool are great. Not amazing for children because it is kind of meant to be quiet, but very nice looking with a rooftop type of patio to sit on.

Lastly, staff were nice and very helpful, including to me in English.

Room Tip: Try one of the bigger rooms. High floor is better. If you are in Stuttgart for a few days on busines...

First time staying in hotel in downtown Stuttgart. By looking outside of the hotel, you wouldn't know how nice it is inside. The reception and the concierge staffs were very friendly. We were travelling with a 9 year old child on 12.07 (one day before the world cup final). Actually we booked the deluxe room but we got the upgrade to "Junior suites" because they told that we would have more space for our kid. First of all, this hotel doesn't charge extra for the 9 year old kid with extra bed and also giving us the upgrade. How nice!! Room is so spacious and very nice decorated.

Very short walk to the shopping area and restaurant.

Great facilities!! Really nice pool area!! This is going to be only the hotel we will stay if we're going back to Stuttgart again and we will surely recommend our friends to stay here.
